Vehicle Detail
This Harvester Scout has a 4 cylinder engine that runs well. It is a Postal model- right side driver. We would love to hold onto it but just don’t have the time to enjoy it anymore. If old school rides are your passion or this Scout just fits your random desires, we’re ready to pass it on. Please feel free to send us a message for more information or any questions you may have. A little History: The International Harvester Scout was one of the first production American civilian off-road sport utility vehicles. IH introduced the Scout in 1961, intending it to be a direct competitor to the Jeep CJ. Riding on a 100-inch wheelbase, the Scout is by no means a small vehicle. It's a substantial hunk of folded metal with solid axles riding on leaf springs at either end. The Scout was featured in the movie “Fast Five”. The Fast Five Scout on hand for Inside Line's cram session was a 1968 model. http://www.vuvox.com/ebay/motors/detail/04bfba08d9On Dec-19-11 at 01:49:52 PST, seller added the following information: This Harvester Scout has a 4 cylinder engine that runs well.
