Vehicle Detail
A bit under 149k miles on this "Champagne" color 4-door sedan, one of only about 400 of these Italian "executive cars" sold in Alfa's final year before leaving the US market for the past 16 years. (The parent FIAT plans for Alfa to re-enter the US market next year.) 3.0 liter 24-valve OHC V6; five-speed stick, ABS, cruise control, all-leather upholstery, A/C, heated power seats, sunroof, front and rear fog lights, electric windows and mirrors, rear window sunshades, anti-theft system, factory 15" cast alloy wheels; many years maintenance records. JVC CD/HD-Radio receiver installed, still have original stereo receiver with 12-disk CD changer if you want to restore. The car was owned originally by the wife of Atlanta's Alfa/Lambo/Maserati dealer Paul Spruell, whose service manager made sure all maintenance was performed. I have the original paperwork for the car, including the window sticker, owner's cards, manual, maintenance book, delivery booklet, even the "Certificato di Qualita" stamped and signed when the car got its final inspection as it left the factory. Complete factory tool kit and a CarDisc (complete set of factory repair manuals on CD-rom) are included. The car is a blast to drive and has been reliable for me, owned it since 2005 (fourth owner). Front-wheel drive, excellent handling and brakes, very confident in snow. Suspension is tight; new exhaust system in 2006. New Continental radial tires same year, about 10,000 miles ago. Interior is good, very comfortable; exterior is only fair because I have not had a garage for the car. The clearcoat on the roof and rear deck needs restoration, though the paint appears ok. The usual stone chips on the hood, and the left-rear quarter panel shows a slight dent from something that impacted it from inside the trunk. The wheels are weathered. Also needing attention: rear windows work but the switches are dodgy; sometimes the A/C takes a while to realize it's hot out and come on; the voltmeter sometimes indicates low voltage even though the electrical system has been checked and is fine (ie, defective gauge). Factory airbags but possibly not working: warning light blinks and my mechanic says the closest shop that can diagnose the problem is in Philadelphia. Car is in northern Virginia, buyer can pick up here if local; or arrange shipment by car carrier. Clean title.
