Vehicle Detail
True barn fresh (or stale) Alfa Romeo Spider Giulietta. This car has been in our family since the mid 1970's. We pushed it outside for the pictures, it is the first time in over 30 years the car has seen sunlight. Approximately 40 year old amatuer repaint showing age. This Alfa was a good runner when stored, but as of listing, the engine does not turn. Has had some floor repair, the red respray is on top of the original dark blue. It has both a soft top and aftermarket hard top. Take a good look at the pictures, ask a lot of questions and accept my invitation to come and kick the tires. What you see is what you get. Again, look at the pictures closely, it is not a show car, but hey, weren't you looking for a winter project? Yes, project, but a very good start compared to others offered recently on ebay. More stuff, late breaking news. The original trunk mat is under the newer padding. Jack points look good enough to use as intended, and the original jack is with it but not working. No "F" above chassis number. The hood was not closed in the frontal pic. Sorry. I have some cutting room floor pictures, willing to send to an email address. Was it restored? Well sort of, yes and no. It had some quick repairs to the floor pans, just some metal screwed in to keep the water out. The seats were covered, I can feel the welt of the original underneath. The door skins were recovered, and I think the dash was faux woodgrained. Other paint/chrome etc was done. The "restoration" all those years ago was not the restoration you might be thinking of, more like a "make it look better and drivable", remember back then it was just a 10+ year old used car. I want to be clear about that and not overinflate your expectations of getting what was once a perfectly restored Alfa Romeo. Thanks for all the questions guys. I am not posting them below because they contain your email addresses. Keep watching here and I will post some important points you ask about. I am not a professional car salesman, my description is my opinion and subject to my memory. Be your own judge, study the pictures and come take a look. Why does it have an Abarth emblem on the right side? No buy it now, PLEASE don't ask. Will not discuss reserve, PLEASE don't ask, thank you.On Jan-05-12 at 11:11:39 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks again for your questions, interest and kind words. And yes, won't be long now...
