Vehicle Detail

Description & pictures to follow: See this auctions Wonderful Vintage 1976 HONDA "ELSINORE" 125cc MT ENDURO Motorcycle (& my other Bike I am selling as well ) at the (Worlds Largest) Cycle World International Cycle Show this weekend at the "Exquisite "Long Beach Convention Center December. 9th , 10th & 11th In the WORLD WIDE ..."VINTAGE JAPANESE MOTORCYCLE CLUBs" Booths (#1469, 1471, 1473 & 1475 ) On Dec-10-11 at 11:28:55 PST, seller added the following information: WOW !!!! ...I can't believe this was already bid up before I was able to insert my description of this Wonderful Motorcycle ! I was able to get her checked into the Show yesterday 12/9/11 and Here are some more pictures for you. if you would like more show info here is the web address for you: motorcycleshows.com/longbeach Again, this is not what I would consider a like new or a perfect bike or a show bike if you are looking for that, please look elsewhere. but it is a Very Nice Newly cosmetically restored example of one of these.... my friends with the VINTAGE JAPANESE MOTORCYCLE Club invited me to put this bike and also the Yellow RM 400 Dirt Race Bike (sitting on the stand just behind my Elsinore 125 MT). I will try and insert this items description at this time as I was tied up all day yesterday getting the bike in the show then after work I went back to the show and talked with people at our booth until it closed late last night. Here at Long Last is the Item's DESCRIPTION:: PLEASE NOTE : .... This is One of those GREAT FUN Bikes that Just Feels Right ! * This Beautiful Bike was in storage since ~1999 & about a month ago my friends with the Vintage Japanese M/C asked me to put this bike and also my RM 400 Suzuki into the show this weekend Dec 9,10 & 11. Since then I have been working very hard cleaning & preparing this Dual Purpose (street Dirt) ENDURO & Fenders are original I refinished the tank & fenders & touched up the black a little on the side cover & got new graphics for the gas tank... Please Note: all of the bikes other stickers on the bike are original Even this bikes 4 factory Blinkers,,,seat, seat cover & Foam to the best of my knowledge are original !!! When I first got the bike last year I put gas in her & she started right up at the time I did not have a gas tank for her on the bike so I was only able to run it with what I put in the carburetors float bowl. I had this bike and the other yellow Suzuki RM 400 that is next to it in the above picture to get ready for this show so I have not had time to go back & try & do any more testing or running on the bike since I first ran it Months ago. When the she is back from the show tomorrow night I will get back to her and spend more time running her.My freind cleaned out & resealed the gas tank & if I remember correctly we cleaned out the carb as well. I have a battery on order So the Lucky New Owner will be getting a "BRAND NEW" Battery along with her. .....Think About it ....if you pass this bike up where will you ever find another "Well Documented" Southern California 1976 HONDA ELSINORE 125 MT ENDURO Beauty like this again ? ? ? AGAIN, I know I will get lots of emails on this point .........YES, This Motorcycle has ALL MATCHING NUMBERS ! (Engine /Trans) Numbers match & THEY ARE their original HONDA numbers on them ! Recently I have lost the Bulk of my vintage bike & Classic Car storage here and therefore, need to find a Good Home for this Wonderful HONDA ELSINORE 125 MT ENDURO ...ASAP ..So, if You Know this is the Bike for you lets talk... as this beauty is priced to sell ( less than half what I have seen even non California bikes like this sell for and I can guarantee you this Beauty will not last long, if anyone is paying attention). This Delightful Dual Purpose 1976 125 cc HONDA ELSINORE MT 125 ENDURO has been in storage off & on the Majority of it's life & 100% of the time in Nice Dry Storage since ~1999 when her off road stickers were paid..almost 12 Years... the bike is such nice shape take a good look at the seat and all of the BIKES ORIGINAL blinkers are intact etc I think this bike was most likely used predominantly on the street & had a very good and careful Owner that did NOT push the bike hard at all I would imagine!!! & according to my Mechanic & his son ....They feel she still has her Original front 275 X 21 Trails Universal like Tire & All of her foot pegs looks GREAT & she even has her Original Rubber foot pegs etc etc that were installed at the HONDA Factory ! Please Note: This Beauty only has about 5822 miles on her ! I purchased this ~ a year ago & I still have the Bill of sale I received from the prior owner. When I first Purchased this bike I had it's title checked out and according to my DMV title company it was so long now that it is currently "Totally Off" the California DMV Computers ((Which means there will be NO back fees of any kind (which means if you want to make this a street legal bike again here in California all you would have to do is just hand them my bill of sale (which establishes the bikes current value) and the Calif DMV will re-issue you a new title plates etc. For just the current transfer fee cost & sales tax (again, there will be NO back fee's). Since this is a bike I bought to restore etc...I have never had it put into my name as also around here Dirt MX bikes and Show bikes many times their transfer is handed by "bill of sale" from one owner to the next owner here in California with Dirt Racing bikes that are used on Dirt Bike Moto Cross tracks and Private off road etc. . Again, This has been in storage for many years (most likely the Majority of her Life ) & again being currently OFF the DMV's Computer records here in California & therefore she will not have any back fees because of this. If you live out of the Country I will be glad to supply you with a California Certified "NOTORIZED BILL of SALE" as I recently sent two of my Vintage Collection bikes to the United Kingdom (England) and that is all that they required. I believe it was mainly driven just on the highway as it is still looks to be in overall very Original in so many ways (IE) She, still appears to have it's oil injection system, chain guards , lighting system , ((EVEN THE ORIGINAL BLINKERS ARE ALL STILL THERE !!!) front and rear fenders, the gas tank looks SUPER Straight !, Original Factory Exhaust system etc etc etc that you would not normally see when someone starts using a Dual Purpose bike like this in the dirt for even a few days most of these items typically get deleted ...So Yes this Bike has had a Super Easy Life then it was in storage I would guess on & off most of it's life (the last sticker we could find on the bike was from 1999...... Think About it ....if you pass this bike up where will you ever find another Nice & well kept Southern California 1976 HONDA ELSINORE 125 MT ENDURO Beauty like this again ? ? ? ........Best of all I believe this bike was always registered here in Southern California, Being a Southern California Bike makes this a Much more collectable vehicle & approx. 50% to 100% more value-able as California Vehicles typically are in much better condition with FAR Less rust and corrosion etc. issues etc etc as the Humidity and rainfall are about Zip (~nearly Zero most of the year)... As I am sure anyone that is reading this knows these bikes Very Well & is already Very Aware ...These Delightful ELSINORE 125 MT ENDUROs are about the Very Best & Most FUN , FUN , FUN + DURABLE & RELIABLE motorcycles EVER Made ! These are Light, Nimble, WONDERFUL Bikes that you can do about anything with. These MT 125's would be Ideal for a First time Biker or someone that just wants to have a Mountain of Fun & No Worries ! ...As her seat is very low to the ground compared to many newer dual purpose bikes ! Great For Kids, Girlfriends, Wifes & New Riders or More experienced riders that just would like to ride one of the Truly Great & FUN Motorcycles of All Time ! ...as these HONDA ELSINORE 125 MT's are Very Balanced & it's Ridding Position feels Very Natural & for most people they are a DREAM to Ride on... "This ELSINORE 125 MT ENDURO was one of the Truly Great HONDA Japanese Imports that helped Kick Start the Great Japan Motorcycle Street / Dirt bike popularity here in the USA" !!!...before this type of bike came out people were ridding the FAR MORE HEAVY Totally "Sherman Tank" like ~350 pound Honda 250 cc Scramblers in the dirt...These ELSINORE MT 125's are Typically Super Reliable + Super Simple and Straight forward to maintain & Own ...The HONDA ELSINORE MT etc Enduro Bikes like this took the Pain out & Put ALL of the FUN into dirt and street ridding ! and help make it something that everyone (Boys & Girls, Wifes New & Old riders (Of All Ages) could all Enjoy !.. That is why these bikes are still so LOVED & have a HUGE Following !!! Even 40 +years later !!!! as the saying goes ...GOOD THINGS LAST FOREVER ! Unlike many Enduro's that are based on a much heavier & less responsive style frame..These Delightful 125 CC ELSINORE MT Enduros were built by HONDA from scratch & designed to be a Great Tough Light weight Nimble Bike Both on the Dirt and on the Street ! & many people feel thesewere deigned to Blow the much earlier designed Kawasaki & Yamaha Enduros off the map ! These ELSINORE MT bikes are light enough that they feel Much More Torque-ier... (IE) a little more like a 4 stroke 150, 175 or 200cc Bike as there Torque & Power to Weight Ratio + it's 21 " front wheel better suspension etc Really makes All the Difference in the World ! especially when you compare these to the early Yamaha & Kawasaki Enduros. In ~1975 a good friend of mine & his wife both had one of these HONDA ELSINORE 125 ENDURO's & they could have owned any bike they wanted & the 1975 HONDA MT ENDURO was there "Very First Choice" as without question ....These are Just Way More FUN ! I was able to find this Beauty in 2010 my friend drained the gas MT tank & resealed it ...which looks to be in Good overall Condition (inside and Out !) & cleaned out the carburator then put Fresh Gas in her cleaned some of the electrical connectors etc & believe it or not after nearly 12 Years ......She Started Right Up ! & idled down very Good ! ....Now... that is a GREAT Motorcycle ! As you can see this Wonderful Bike overall looks Great, I had my mechanics son helped clean the bike up a little, Re-Lubed the Drive Chain, got new Fuel Lines, a Fuel Filter, Cleaned out the Fuel Pet-cock, re-finish the fenders, When I bought this bike it was overall very Clean and Very Original however the previous owner had removed it's tank and sat it on his front porch when he came back it was missing... So, I found a replacement MT tank & refinished it from it's a couple years earlier Honda Silver/red (74' colors So I refinished it back to the 1976 MT 125 colors again ...and as you can see she looks Great !!! , I touched up the paint a little here & there etc & changed & restored with Brand New Transmission Oil, Get a BRAND NEW Battery for her etc etc (which is on order & I should have it in the next day or two And the Brakes & suspension all feel Great ! & just to give you some idea how nice and Original this bike is the Like The Blinkers Her Seat & it' Cover I believe are also "ORIGINAL" & her foam etc feels GREAT ! and ...YES, it Looks & Feels AMAZING ! ( GREAT ! ! ) ! * Please Note : Again please Note I think this is a Nice Example of a ELSINORE MT 125 ENDURO as you can see it looks to be in GREAT Overall Condition again it is ~36 year old bike that has been driven & is Not a Museum piece, Not a PERFECT BIKE & NOT a SHOW BIKE (it is in the show this weekend as a favor to my VJMC Club, & I have never shown this bike before) & to me she looks great ! I am sure their are people out their that may want to clean it a little more. Again, if you are a nit picker kind of guy looking for a 37 year old bike that is perfect in every way please do us both a big favor & Please look else where. Like all things in life very few things are absolutely perfect if 100% perfect is what you want please go put and buy a Brand New Bike However, ...The bad news about doing that is in a couple of years Unlike this Wonderful Classic buying a new bike will be worth pennies on the dollar where this CLASSIC HONDA ELSINORE 125 MT ENDURO bike should keep going Up & Up in Value ...as Truly Good Examples of these MT ELSINOREs are rapidly Becoming Harder and Harder to find in Recent Decades ! Again, Her MT Gas tank is from a earlier MT HONDA Enduro (I think a 74 MT as it was Silver/red) I repainted it back to the 1976 Silver & Blue colors if you will noticed she is Very nice dent free Condition and was sealed & overall is Very Straight & I painted it to look a little more Aluminum (more like the Dirt Racing ELSINOREs) & I can tell you everyone at the SHOW "LOVED THIS BIKE" ! I feel this Beautiful bike & please Note: that this last few weeks was just cosmetically restored to be in this weekends show & to me She looks Great & is in overall good condition. Also, this is a Overall a Very Original bike (IE) as it still has it's Oil Injection tank pump, air filter box , stock exhaust, original fenders , tail light & ALL FOUR original Blinkers, Original Seat etc etc etc. (Which is Very Rare to still see on these early Enduro's), Maybe, with some wax or polishing Compound etc she can look even better I re-blacked the areas of the oil tanks etc etc still on a dual purpose bike...& in my eye & to most people that see it feel she looks very Nice ! I believe their are some sources for the very small 125cc foil etc stickers most are still on this bikes & most all of the original ones are present a few have some wear ...as I have recently some thru seen some sources on ebay & they are typically very reasonable... There is some very minor pitting (very normal) on the handles bars etc. otherwise most everything looks very good on her...Again.I think this is a Very Nice Bike in Nice Overall condition. Again, This Wonderful Dual Purpose ELSINORE MT 125 ENDURO has been 100% storage since at least 1999 (as that was the last reg sticker she had & I believe she has been in Nice Dry covered storage the bulk of her life !!! & according to my Mechanic & his son ....They feel it still has her Original Tires that were installed at the HONDA Factory in 1976 ! This Beauty only has ~5822 miles on her ! Because we recently lost the bulk of our vintage bike storage & because I am in my mid 60's of age (I have an agreement with my Wife that I will only "Restore" my Vintage Off Road Bike Collection and not ride them) ...therefore, we have not done much running of this other than static testing (which we only did for a few seconds so far seem to be idle-ing & running fine) When the baike gets back from the show we will be running her again & doing more testing before the auctions end. To Me She Looks GREAT like shes all ready to Go another ~40 years !!! Even though she seems to be Running & everything seems to operating Great I think it would be a good idea for her to be returned to service gradually as she has been in storage for the bulk of it's life ! So it would be good to look everything over and check things and maybe do a little fine tuning as you start ridding her & start her back to life again, As we have only run her so far for a very short time Again when we get the bike back from the show tomorrow night 12/11/01 we will be able to resume running her and checking everything over long before the end of the auction. The bikes ORIGINAL Tires Look Good & seem to be holding Air Perfectly fine but keep in mind they may be the original tires this Wonderful bike came with in 1976. ****PLEASE NOTE: This Wonderful Vintage HONDA ELSINORE 125 Enduro is for local pick up I will be glad to assist your transporter company from this end if you live out of the area & or if you live Over-Seas I will deliver this Wonderful car to any International Shipper in the Los Angeles Harbor Area ...FREE !!! On Dec-13-11 at 09:28:52 PST, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: Above is the Video Sound Clip for this Wonderful Bike ! * Please Click On the the Arrow in the above picture & you can See & Hear how GREAT this Beauty Runs ! We brought it back from this weekends Show & put some gas in her yesterday & as Predicted She started Right Up Again ! & She Ran GREAT ! I think the more you run her the Better & Better she will run ...as within a couple of minutes of when the Video clip was taken we had just started the bike for the very first time in years (other than when we started it just for a few seconds when we first got this Beautiful Bike) & Believe me my Mechanic and I were Totally Blown Away with How AMAZING this Bike Runs ! She came right back to life !..The Gentleman I purchased Her from said that this was a Good Running Bike.. The last few weeks we had been working night & day to get this bike & also the Yellow RM Dirt Race Bike pictured above ..Ready Cosmetically for last weekends BIG SHOW ..we just didn't have time to stop & take the time to run her any more till after the show was all over & She was back here again.. So YES ! This Delightful Bike Runs Well ! ! She Sounds Great ! Most every time yesterday.. She Started on the First Kick ! She Idles Down Great ! She is Very Responsive ! & again ...She is Running GREAT ! On Dec-18-11 at 07:45:04 PST, seller added the following information: Hi everyone I just recieved the Brand New Battery On Friday but have not had time to install her yet , as we had a big family christmas party her yesterday so my wife had me working getting ready all day. I know at this point the headlight works & the blinkers light up I am more of a dirt racer guy so I was unsure how to switch the blinkers from right to left etc etc But it looks like each blinker lights up. There may be a small flasher switch that may need to be checked or just the contacts cleaned & I did not have a lot of time with the horn but it is there and I would bet it would respond with just looking over the conector conrtacts etc as well. This Bike Runs GREAT and looks like it has very low hours on her ! Merry Christmas to Everyone !
