In 1961, the Corvette had evolved into a truly credible & formidable sports car. Styling was carefully updated under GM design Chief Bill Mitchell with a subtle new grille design that eliminated the daunting classic teeth. The forward Headlight bezels were now color matched to the exterior. The new rear end treatment foreshadowed the upcoming 1963 Sting Ray with a neat ducktail design incorporating four cylindrical taillights. In addition, the growing list of standard equipment now included a tachometer, sun visors, hidden below the body dual exhaust, carpeting, an electric clock, outside rearview mirror and an aluminum radiator. In 2004 this Corvette had a fully documented frame on ground-up restoration with no expense spared with receipts to prove and has been garaged & maintained ever since. This is beautifully presented in Ermine White with Silver painted coves and a new Black convertible top all complimented by a luxurious Black interior. Giving her far more performance than when new, this iconic Roadster is powered by a newer crate 350 CID V8 with 330HP that was professionally installed in 2005 having only 1,200 miles since. The motor is mated to a Hurst 4-Speed manual transmission that shifts very smooth & impressively. The interior amenities include a working tachometer, ventilation system, radio and clock. She rides on her original 15" X 5.5" Corvette Wheels with Hub Caps and new Coker Classic 205 X 75 R15 tires with wide white walls that give her that ultra glamorously classic look.
