Vehicle Detail
Hi This truck has been sitting in a barn for decades.... very solid .. when we got it back to our place we loaded the cyleders with marvel oil waited a week cleaned it out and it started right up ... it runs good , drives good , brakes work great , e brake works great steers good , shifts exel, clutch is good the holding tank has 3 diferent size comparpments I was told 1 was for heatig oil 1 was stove oil n 1 was lamp oil , the holding tank apears to be very solid ,the roof wood and the roof matrile is very solid I have to say for being almost 100 yrs old its pretty incredible truck ... it was my unnderstandig that it was in a storage barn for over 50 yrs .... since I bought this truck I've been looking for one all over the internet I've found only a few close to it but nothing just like it .... I converted it to a 12 v sys to start and drive it I still have the parts to put it back to 6 volt .... the truck drives good shifts good stops good ....... I was going to restore it but its so cool I hate to even clean it ... It also came with 11 diferent carrying cans dating in the 20 s and the 30 s 3 are the same all other 8 are different one has some rust holes in the bottom of it If you would like to contact me my number is 609 226 2333 or my email is amtrack55@yahoo.com I also do not have a title I ran the numbers and it comes back as a 1930 also if you have a pic of one like this it would be great if you could send it to me thanks for your help Good luck bidddingOn Dec-09-11 at 05:23:03 PST, seller added the following information: Update to my listing ..... It has been brought to my attention that I was wrong as to the yr of this truck it is a 28 or a 29 not a thirty when I bought it I was told it was a 30 I'm not a model AA guy .... but I recived a few emails as to its yr so last night I had a friend of mine that is a model aa guy come over to look at it and he confirmed it is a 28 or a 29 ...... When I bought it I was going to cut it up and make a rat rod out of it I was also going to cut the tank in the middle and a big bbq for car shows thought that would look very cool but I changed my mind I thought it would look better the way it is or restored and put on display by an oil comp or a privet person for people to enjoy the way things use to be back in the day ..... If we cut them all up their'll be no history left lol ;)...... And as for the title the guy who had it sitting in the barn for yrs passed away and nobody knows what he did with all his titles so thats why I can't give any history as to how many owners ... I had one guy email me how nice it would look restored to a texaco truck in his old restored gas station Hope this helps out and thanks for the emails and pics and helping me get it straightened out :) On Dec-09-11 at 10:25:44 PST, seller added the following information: I had one more thing to ad I have looked all over the internet for these oil carrying cans I have about 20 hrs looking for them I have been only able to find 2 and they are on ebay one is a red hat for 700 ,, and a old exxon for 199 as for the other 9 no luck so I would have to say they are pretty rare to find .... and the 3 compartment holding tank witch carrys all the bulk oil I can't find one of them If the winner of the auction does't want the carrying cans they could list them after buying it and get some o if not all of their money back just an opp
