Vehicle Detail

Buyer is responsible for Pick up or shipping arrangements. This is a 1987 Pontiac Fiero 4 cylinder 5 speed manual, I got this car in 2010, The original brake lines had rusted out and had blown a hole in one of them. The car sat for a year before I was able to get time/money to put new brake lines on. All hard lines have been replaced with Stainless Steel brake lines from the Fiero Store. When I went to start the car the battery was dead (old battery goes with car, saves you the core charge of a new one), no big surprise considering I just let it sit for a year without maintaining the battery, Jump start and she runs. Car idles fine and would drive around the yard, but when really putting your foot into the gas and reving to the upper range (not into the red just upper half of rev range) the car would stall out. I figured the battery is really bad and not modulating the current from the alternator. So I put in a known good battery temporarily. Car idles nice, revs throughout the rev range. This is when I discovered an electrical problem. When pressing the brake pedal the 3rd light comes on but not the regular brake lights, the dash gauge needles do funny things (spin and such) and the dash/radio lights dim. When I picked up the car it was running and performing fine, except for the brake lines. All the opinions that I can get on this electrical problem is that it is a bad ground. I am assuming that corrosion or an animal got to the ground in question and messed it up. I don't have time to track down this bad ground and so the car must go. Good things about this car: Typically gets 30MPG +/- a couple miles New Stainless Steel brake lines Engine runs strong. Body in good shape (some sun fading) Tires have good tread left on them Headlights work properly (still go up and down) Seat covers driver and passenger (see bad things about car) Bad things about this car Windshield has 6-8inch long crack in it. The Electrical problem (bad ground) Small leak on transaxle shaft seal, transaxle is super easy to refill. Broken taillight lens. Driver seat has tape and rips on it. I have not looked under the cover of passenger seat. Needs battery
