This is my 200 Golf TDi that I bought new in late 2000. It's been a good car though a little low slung for the snow around here. See my video at youtube to see it run and driveI upgraded the suspension to a VR6 suspension (springs and shocks) at around 65K. I use only Shell Rotella T oil and VW filters. At 165K the timing belt broke and trashed the engine. I had it rebuilt locally at Hayes Car & Truck as they are diesel mechanics. They farmed out the bottom end and the head and assembled the engine. I supplied new german pistons and rings for the rebuild. I also supplied a single mass flywheel and new clutch. At the same time they did balljoints. They cleaned the intake when they had it apart.they had also done the front bushings recently before. I had done the rear bushings myself.I have also recently fixed the drivers side window drive track and lock so the door handle works, however the lock button no longer works, need to pull it apart and re-align.It comes with 4 15" OEM alloy wheels and 4 15" steel wheels all with bald tires. It has a trailer hitch but was not used for towing very much. It has a recent rear caliper and rotor on the drivers side, but the front brakes need new rotors and pads, the parking brake isn't really working either. the strut mounts are shot but I have 2 included (see them on the front passenger seat picture along with a fuel filter and oil filter). The engine light is on because of glow plugs and temp sensor 2. If the auction price is over $2000 I will include my VAG-COM cable and an old 486 laptop it's installed on.It needs a starter but it roll starts fine, it was starting when you whacked the starter but it doesn't do that anymore.the battery is recentThe sunroof works great which is good because the A/C does not. the front passenger window also needs it's clip fixed.the interior is in pretty good shape, the drivers door handle has the rubber peeling off and the drivers seat has some stitching coming out but no rips or tears anywhere in the interior.The drivers front quarter panel is dinged up from glancing off a deer a few years ago and it's starting to rust where the paint chipped off on the edge of the wheel wellBoth lower quarter panels behind the front wheels are rusted pretty good, despite or maybe because of the VW mudflaps I got when it was new.The front passengers door has a bent lower front corner and there is some rust starting on the drivers side rocker panel.It is not currently registered or inspected in New hampshire
