Vehicle Detail
I am the original owner of this beautiful 2000 Honda Civic Si. 100% NON SMOKER It currently has almost 169k miles. It was purchased on 3/22/2000 at what is now Kuhn Honda in Tampa, Fl. It had 104 miles when I took possession, due to the fact they drove it up from another dealer in Port Charlotte. I never intended to get rid of this car, but I’ve had my fun and it’s time for me to move on. This car has been well cared-for, and it shows. Many of the miles were driven on the highway, which accounts for the high mileage. I took it with me on many trips to Miami, Orlando & Atlanta to visit friends & family and for other activities. While I did drive it as far north as New York and Pennsylvania, it has never seen snow or salted roads. It’s never been in a flood or stolen and the odometer has never been tampered with. Very few Hondas I’ve seen on Ebay can claim that! Engine, transmission and car have matching VIN numbers! The Greddy exhaust has been on the car since a few months after I purchased the car, and most of the performance parts and stereo were put on in the first 5 years I owned it. It’s had Mobil 1 5w-30 or better synthetic oil since the 2nd oil change, and the increased wear-protection is definitely evident. The engine internals wipe down clean to the original aluminum luster. I’ve done all of the maintenance on the car, replacing components as they wear out, using Honda’s official repair books. Original Civic Si leather-wrapped shift knob is worn out. A chunk of the leather is gone. The original factory Civic floor mats are in excellent condition (Minus the driver-side floor mat, which is worn through under the pedals). ALL Seats have NO TEARS OR STAINS. They are FIRM and held up very well for the last 10 years! Seat belts are in good condition with no major fraying. Sliding moon roof cover and the sun visors are showing some age. Car had 2 minor accidents. In 2000, a truck backed into the driver-rear taillight and also damaged the filler panel below it and scratched the bumper cover. Somewhere, I have a 5x7 photo (35mm camera) of the damage. Repaired and rear half of the car blended and re-painted to new condition with NEW HONDA FACTORY OEM PARTS. In 2009, Another truck backed into and cracked the driver rear taillight while I was parked in my neighborhood, and later a driver hit into the back of my car while I was stopped at a traffic light. Damage was a Minor “rub” to the top of the bumper but cracked the tail lights and bent the rear deck. Used Factory Honda deck lid, filler panel and 4 NEW HONDA FACTORY OEM tail lights (both trunk marker lights and the corner break/turn lights) were installed and entire rear half of the car sanded down, re-painted and blended. Car has never had any bumper mount damage nor frame damage. Despite 169k miles, the car has the ORIGINAL CV joints. They DO NOT CLICK. Still have the factory Si performance shocks and springs. Car still handles corners good. Hood and front bumper has lots of nicks & scratches on the front edge from highway debris. Hard to see from a distance, but visible up close. One big dent near the back of the hood (Don’t know what happened, but it’s been there for 8-9 years). Two bird poop stains on the hood. Noticeable up close but not real bad. Some love bug damage to the bumper.
