He used it to ttransport my disabled mother. All I know about it is that it is fully handicapped professionally converted by VMI. It can be driven by anyone handicapped or not. If you are handicapped the seat comes all the way back and turns so you can transfer into the drivers seat. It has the automatic ramp under the floor (along with the optional manual bypass). Once you ride up the ramp you can secure your wheelchair with the new ly installed auto restraint system. You can transfer into the drivers seat and it has BOTH hand controls along with the feet controls. You decide what to use. The van is fully loaded with everything else including a TV screen in the ceiling. I have most of the maintenence records showing the tires are pretty new along with muffler and breaks. The car has been inspected by the state of NJ and has a valid inspection sticker. I dont know much about it but I drove it home after my father passed away. It drove really nice. The transmission was smooth and mechaically I could not find any issues. The van has TWO sliding doors. The one without the ramp opens automatically. The one with the ramp you must open by pulling the handle. The paint looks good and body is in nice shape (as you can see in the pictures. There is a little dent in the rear drivers bumper and on the trim at the passenger sliding door. It is not a new van but you can save a ton of money. The van is 2003 and in good shape for its year. These vans alone are selling for almost $6K. You get the handicapped extras in this price. Last year my father had a minor fender bender with the front bumper. It was PROFESSIONALLY repaired by Purdy's Ford Factory certified with a LIFE WARRANTY on the repairs that is transferrable. We have the warranty information. Other then that the van has not been in any other accidents. It looks and runs great. We are willing to take it to a mechaic of your chioce if you like. We are selling it with no warranty because the price is so low. The nearest handicapped van company is called Monmouth. They told us to list it for $11,000 and offered to sell it for us. They did some of the maintenence on this van in the past and told us that my father was there just a week before he died. We are listing it low to avoid any haggling or low ball offers.
