Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS. I have owned the car since May 2002. This is an older restoration; the car is bolero red with white stripes. As you can see from the photos, the car has a few dings and scratches. The paint is approximately 15 years old so not a new paint job covering problems. The white stripes are painted, not decal. The most serious body issue that I am aware of is a small crack near the front. I am showing a close-up picture of this area (near the RS emblem). The car came to me undercoated. Although this is an RS, the hide-away-lights do not open and close. I was told this is an electrical problem. If the headlights are needed, the doors slide open and close by hand. The horn is not working and the wiper motor was disconnected when the new motor was installed. Since I have never had the car in the rain, I never bothered to reconnect the motor. It is there if you choose to reconnect it. When I purchased the car, it did not have the original motor (6 cyl) but a rebuilt 350 and manual shifter. After owning the car for a few years, I felt as if the motor was not dependable enough. Since the body and frame were in good shape, in 2006 I made the following changes: new Crate 350 motor, rebuilt turbo 400 transmission and new v-matic 2 Hurst dual mode shifter. I also added a Demon carburetor and the car is equipped with flowmaster exhaust. Since then I have driven the car approximately 3,500 miles. Mechanically I feel the car is very strong and dependable. I planned on keeping the car for many more years, but due to an opportunity to move, I am putting it up for auction. Thank you for looking. On Nov-25-11 at 15:04:05 PST, seller added the following information: I have added 2 new pictures to show the undercarriage of the car. I have been asked if this is a true RS. When I purchased the car I was told it is a real RS and to the best of my knowledge I believe it to be. Unfortunately the VIN number does not disclose this information and there are no other identifying tags. For mechanical information I would also like to add that it does have a Holley electric fuel pump. Thank you. On Nov-26-11 at 06:48:51 PST, seller added the following information: In response to some emails: the headlight doors worked until a couple of years ago. Also, the heater not does work but has never been a problem to me since I only drive the car in nice weather. Even during the winter when the temps get up in the 40's and 50's I take the car out just to keep it running consistently. And lastly, due to the move I will be making soon, I cannot store the car for an extended period of time. I 'm happy to store the car while shipping arrangements are made. Thank you.
