1967 Morris 1000 Van (6cwt) Offered for your inspection and consideration, at NO RESERVE, is this 1967 Austin Morris 1000 van, also known as the Morris 6cwt for its cargo hauling classification. These venerable little vans were used by both the Postal Service and Telephone Companies in the UK thoughout the 50's and 60's. The term "barn find" has been overused as of late, in my opinion, but this Morris really fits the description, very well. Imagine this little jewel finished in your color with your business name and logo emblazoned on the side. Powered by, maybe, a warmed over 1275 with a Toyota 5 speed gearbox and disc brakes or restored to its original configuration.. This partricular example, a US version with Left Hand Drive, has been in dry storage in Arizona for the past 22 years and is an excellent restoration candidate. The truck is structurally sound, with straight body panels. complete and intact and basically rust free with the exception of some minor surface rust on the front floor. This is a dry, original, Arizona vehicle that retains most its original mechanical components. It hasn't been started in several years, but the engine is free and it will probably run and drive with a minimun of effort. It will need some mechanical restoration before it can be used, namely fluids changed, fuel tank cleaned, belts, hoses and brake hydraulics, etc. As illustrated in the photos, the right rear cargo door has been damaged and repaired at some point, otherwise the sheet metal is excellent with no rust. The side glass is all good and the window lift mechanisms function as they should. Also included in this sale is the original owners manual, spare tire and wheel.
