1983 Ferrari 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole Rosso Corsa Red Tan Leather Interior 50,870 Original Miles Vin: ZFFLA13B000046167 EURO SPEC Fresh out of a collection in San Diego California. This Ferrari has been stored in a state of the art climate controlled facility since 1992 and has only been removed for short weekend drives, services and smogs. All services have been performed by Ferrari Technologies out of Orange, CA. Major services was just done at 50,608 miles. All reciepts since 1992 are available. Up for sale is one of the nicest 308's we have ever had our hands on. The paint is all original and very nice and shiny. The interior is also in excellent condition with very minimal wear. Air conditioning blows ice cold, power windows operate but are a little slow going up and down. The removable targa top is in excellent condition. We are trying to work out the Blaupunkt sound system as there is a tape stuck inside the head unit. Brand new Dunlop Direzza's just installed. We have all history from the early 1990's from the previous owner but we do not have the history before that. We do know that the vehicle has always been in California since it was imported and the previous owner has never had it out in the rain. The previous owner is a collector and is moving to a smaller facility and needs to make room. California Blue Plated Ferrari with zero previous accidents or paintwork. Its starts up everytime and there are no unusual engine noises or vibrations. History: The 308 GTS Quattrovalvole, with a removable targa roof, succeeded the 30i, and was presented at the 1982 Paris Salon concurrently with the 308 GTB Quattrovalvole model. The Quattrovalvole part of the model name referred to the four valves per cylinder heads on the engine, which provided increased power over the preceding model. Visually the new model was very similar to the outgoing one, but could be recognized by the addition of a slim louvre panel in the front lid to aid radiator exhaust air exit, paired electrically operated door mirrors with a small enamel Ferrari badge on the shell, a revised radiator grille with rectangular driving lights at the extremities, and rectangular (instead of round)side repeater lights. The interior also received some minor alterations, and cloth seat centres became available as an option to the standard full leather, whilst the leather rim satin black three spoke steering wheel featured a triangulated section around the horn push. The removable grained satin black finished roof panel was stowed in a vinyl cover behind the seats when not in use. As with the preceding series’ of 308 models, USA market cars could be identified by heavier bumper assemblies, and rectangular side marker lights on the wings.
