I bought this car a couple years ago on Ebay and flew to Texas to pick it up, hoping I wouldn’t be disappointed when I first saw it in person. I wasn’t! I haven’t seen a GT6 in better shape. We drove it about 1100 miles to northern Illinois over the next two days and had no problems with. Based on the papers I’ve found, the car lived in Texas for a few years before I bought it and appears to have been in southern California prior to that since it was new. It is now in the Chicago area, but has been kept in a heated garage and never seen rain or snow. The records and pictures that I received with the car show that it was entirely disassembled and rebuilt in 2004 and 05. There is a receipt from a restoration shop that rebuilt the engine and overdrive in March 2005. The overdrive is not currently working and I have not pursued the repair. I can still comfortably cruise for hours at 70-75. The odometer reads about 62k miles and works, but I have no idea how accurate the total is. The chrome and paint are in great shape. There are a few chips, but you have to hunt for them. The color is Signal Red, Triumph paint code 32. The interior is good, but the seats have a few holes taped over. I put new Chrome Dayton Wire wheels on it (including the spare), with Kumho tires that are original equipment size, P155/80R13. There is also a set of minilite wheels that were on when I bought it. They had P205/60R13 tires that gave it a much beefier look, but there was some tendency for tire rub with those on. The car runs great and looks good. Let me know if you have any questions.
