FOR SALE ~ 1970 FJ40. CENTRAL MINNESOTA AREA. This was a project truck, we just dont have the funds or time to try to restore this. It has always had covered storage. I know these go for sooooo much restored and that would be our dream but at this point I think it is going to waste away just sitting in a garage.It RUNS, STARTS, GOES. It has a clear/current title, plates expired Aug 2011, It has a 1975 8cyl. Chevy 350 small block engine with a CID ignition. 4 Barrell Carb. 3 Speed Manual transmission. Clutch and all works just fine. Needs a battery..we can provide one to show the engine runs, but are not buying one for the rig....It would help for loading onto a trailer! Interior is rough, has most original components so see pics. Please note this is as is, it has NOT been driven extensively. This is not ready to drive somewhere, it should be shipped just in case! The Brakes have not been checked so it would not be safe. This needs work, not ready to go for the winter - This is a project truck, a collectable, lots of rust, in floor and some in the lower doors. Its very valuable, for the right person to restore! Some of what has been done (according to my receipts): New brake lines, new carb kit (carb was rebuilt), tune up ( plugs, filters, all replaced, hoses, wires checked... etc) antifreeze tested - good. New gas tank under pass seat. choke kit, new exhaust system, new heater hoses. and more, basically a lot of misc stuff was done. I have records/receipts, some shows in the pics... It appears to have been red. It is now a charcoal black. It does have the jump seat and upholstery but needs to be redone. The front seats though are not original. It has the dimond plate that was taken off but is with the truck still. There is alot rust on the floor and some in the body. I did try to show rust and damage in the pics. The Rust is mainly around the lower part of the truck, the doors are good, the windows intact. HERE IS SOME OTHER INFO! We have an original inline 6 ENGINE from this truck. That is being sold seperately. The Odometer now shows mileage that is NOT actually right. I cannot verify exactly what has what, the gauge cluster was replaced. The important thing is that the truck does run. I believe the 350 has about 95000 miles on it. The engine serial # is: V0416TYZ FOR THE 350 (notes in the files say - FLINT ENGINE, APRIL 16 1975 CONV CAD) SO, THIS AUCTION IS FOR A 1970 FJ40 LAND CRUISER WITH THE 350. The truck now starts and runs. This all is an AS IS SALE!! This is great deal on this truck for restoration and my price reflects this.
