This is a beautiful example of a 1971 BMW R60/5. This is the 'Airhead' era and Toaster tank generation. My personal favorite style. This bike was purchased in 1992 by a collector/friend of mine with only 22,848 miles. Since 1992 the bike has a grand total of 27,200 current miles. This bike is in fantastic condition. NO LEAKS of any kind. Recently there has been a new battery installed, tires and tubes, fuel lines, filters, oil change and bulb changes. This bike RUNS and RIDES superb. EVERYTHING works on this bike including the turn signals (rears only), high/low beam, horn and indicators. Tachometer needle is not on and tach is currently inoperable. This is an electric start bike and it fires right up after a quick 'tickle' of the Bing carbs. This is a bike you can ride anywhere and be proud of. Tanks is absolutely dent and damage free. The bike is a must see to appreciate. Pictures do not do it justice. The original paint on the entire bike is in amazing condition. Especially for being 40 years old.
