Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Up for grabs is a 1989 Jeep Wrangler. I bought it as a drivable “project” but unfortunately I don’t have the time, income, or space to work on it. My loss is your gain. Some of the basic info on it: · Dana 30/35 geared with 4.10’s · 2.5L 4 cylinder · 5 speed ax-5 · No carpet · Aftermarket stereo with additional speaker boxes in the back · Tuffy Glove box safe · Hard top and soft top · Full steel doors · Just under 189,xxx (still a daily driver) · It has its fair share of rust (see pictures) · Floor pans have seen better days but no major holes Since purchasing the Jeep at the beginning of Summer I have replaced the following: · Fuel filter · Gas cap · Brakes Pads Rotors Shoes Drums · V-belts · Ignition coil · PCV valve · Spark plugs · Temperature sending unit · MAP sensor · Distributor cap and rotor · Rear shocks · Center gauge cluster circuit board ($80 alone) · Various vacuum lines · Horn relay · Windshield/cowl seal I also have these new parts that have not been installed yet because I haven’t had the time: · Thermostat and gasket · Water pump · Upper and lower radiator hoses · Valve cover gasket · Two additional windshield seals Also, when I bought it I replaced the rear passenger section of the frame and shock mount. The shock mount had rusted completely off and the frame was in rough shape in that area (quite common for the old YJs). Overall it runs pretty good. Upon start up it will occasionally squeak but goes away quickly. The RPMs like to jump to around 2000 when starting but make their way to idle in a few seconds (possible vacuum leak?). The transmission shifts well except when down shifting from 5th to 4th. It won’t go in. I usually jump down to 3rd and then up to 4th without releasing the clutch. Exhaust works but it was pieced together so it rattles at certain RPMs. It’s inspected till 9/12. 4 wheel drive engages like it’s supposed to. This would make a great winter time vehicle, restoration project, or a weekend wheeler. Some parts of the dash have been disassembled to be worked on but they are all here.I have the clear title in my hand waiting to transfer. There is a crack but it doesn't seem to be soft.
