Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a1975 Suzuki TM250, This is the last year for the TM250 and the best of them all. I got this bike from a friend, and went through the entire bike, I raced it 1 season, and then freshened it up 2 or 3 years ago and it has sat ever since. The motor is on .050 or 1st over size Suzuki Piston, and rings, all top end parts were changed at time of rebuild. I matched and cleaned up the ports and the bike really rips, but is stone reliable. When I use to ride it I had several people tell me how good it sounded. The bike came with a plastic gas tank but I always like the 1974 paint scheme and finished the bike that way. The gas tank is rust and dent free, with a new Paint & decals & NOS gas cap and NOS fuel petcock. Aluminum RM500 shift lever with folding tip, and spring loaded RM500 foot pegs with new foot peg pins. The front & rear fenders & side panels are New from Vintage Suzuki, and I replaced the rear fender mount with NEW NOS. The front forks have new seals and oil, the rear shocks are New Redwing Hammer head shocks with duel rate springs have 3 rides on them, I am pleased with the way they work, the bike tracked straight and true. The tires, tubes and rim bands also have three rides on them and are like new. The bike has New swing arm bushings and new aftermarket cone or caged head bearings up front. Rims are dent free. There are aftermarket "TRICK" Aluminum motor mounts and custom aluminum rear brake arm. New Heavy duty 525 Chain and NOS front and rear sprockets, NOS Left and right chain adjusters, NEW front and rear wheel bearings. The rear hub has new rubber cushions and were siliconed in so there is no slop in the rear wheel hub, and a new snap ring installed. The seat had 2 small tears near the base (common) so a new seat cover was just installed. The oil injection is hooked up and working perfectly!, I replaced the old brittle oil injection lines with hard to find NEW NOS lines and fittings. New Mikuni Carburetor and carburetor to air box tube.(another hard to get part) New aluminum handle bars, grips, dog legged levers. The throttle, front brake, rear brake cables are new. A NEW Circle F pipe has been fitted and never started. It does not have a silencer but is like the Works bikes back in the time period of the bike. New NOS mag cover with counter shaft sprocket cover. All engine seals have been replaced and the bike does not leak a drop! This bike looks GREAT! and "WORKS" on the track, it has a lot of heart and many years of running left! For those who don't know the 1975 Suzuki TM250/400's were the only production Suzuki racer to have forward mounted shocks from the factory. In 1975 Suzuki changed the transmission ratios to a close ratio gear box and eliminated the gap's of the earlier year TM250. This was as good as the TM 250 line up would get before the RM's came out. A good Beginner, Novice or Amature bike. The 1975 TM's are hard to find in any condition. And this one is a LOW timer and not abused. I take very good care of my bike I am clearing out the bikes that I don't ride in the garage and this one needs a new home, I will be listing several more bikes in the coming weeks, so I can have room in the garage. The 1984 Suzuki RM500 that you see in the pictures is for sale too if you know of anyone looking for a nice last model year RM500 in the USA Thank you for looking,
