The San Diego Automotive Museum is auctioning off its 1958 Mercedes Benz 180 Sedan! The vehicle is in running condition however, the previous owner of this vehicle swapped the manual transmission for an automatic transmission. It is missing the indicators for Park, Drive, Neutral, etc. The car has the wrong carburetors and wrong carburetor adapters. It is unknown if the engine is the original or not. Previous owner added a heat shield between the exhaust pipe and undercarriage. The undercarriage of this vehicle does have rust. Most of the areas that were rusted have been sprayed with a hard foam to stop it from spreading (This happened before we received it). The rust is definitely something that needs to be attended to. If you put the car in Drive, you must have your foot on the break or the car will thrust forward. The interior of the vehicle is in good condition. There is a small hole on the passenger side dash that has been filled in with hard foam. Photographs of interior are included. As I mentioned before, this car does drive, it just needs someone to give it the proper TLC it deserves.
