Listing my 1988 FJ62 at No Reserve. A bittersweet decision as it is being replaced by an FJ80 w/third seat to better suit my growing familiy's needs. The 62 has 144,000 original miles on its fuel injected 3FE 6 cylinder engine and automatic 4x4 drivetrain (manual locking hubs). I have owned it since approximately 130K from 2006 and have all service and accessory upgrade records/receipts since 2005 (120K) which are to be included in the sale for the winning bidder's records. Mechanical: Engine runs quietly and smoothly. No leaks. In past year and 3,000 miles, had complete tune up including wires, cap, rotor, plugs, air filter, cleaned MAF, replaced heater hoses, and valve cover gasket and hardware. Automatic Transmission had new filter kit installed and fresh fluid approx 18 months ago. New starter, fuel pump, and sending unit installed in April 2009 at approx 141K. New Battery 3/11. Front Brake rotors, calipers, hoses, pads, fluid flush, wheel bearings and hub hardware done November 2008 at approx 140K. Full exhaust installed with turbo muffler in November 2006 (also removed a rusted catalytic converter). A/C compressor replaced and converted to 134A in 2005 and blows cold). Engine does not use oil and oil has been changed every 6 months. Transfer case and 4x4 system (manual locking hubs) function perfectly. Less than 1,000 miles since Coolant Flush and oil change completed. Suspension is stock. Installed Skyjacker gas shocks and steering stabilizer in 2006. All lighting, electrical, instrumentation, heater fully functional with exception of rear wiper (wiper not reinstalled following a respray of rear hatch door but was working and included - in box under seat) and gas door cable (must be opened w/key). Exterior: Original Red paint in very nice condition with expected touchups and a couple door dings. Rear hatch door was rusting at lower glass seal and was cut and sectioned with new metal and hatch received full respray approx 3 years ago - still looks new. Lower panels had rust patch panels welded in in 2009 and sprayed below the body cut line with black truck bed liner. The repaired areas continue to hold up well with some surface rust appearing in an isolated area over the right rear wheel arch (see pic). Only other rust area is right rear windw seal at the lower right corner (see pic). I was waiting to have this repaired when replacing the windows with new Spector Off Road (SOR) tinted sliding windows which are included in the sale (brand new in box, including seals). 30% tinted glass all the way around. ARB Off road rear bumper with integrated 2" hitch receiver. Some new trim pieces, factory wheel caps. Original factory chrome 15" wheels in nice shape mounted with 31 x 10.50 All Terrains (50% tread life) and McGuard lifetime guarantee lug nuts. High Quality Steel Full side Nerf Bars from 4x4 Connections, Hella Halogen low beams, KC Fog lights (not functioning due to missing switch) in new condition. Sale also includes a SOR tinted front wind/bug deflector which currently not on the wagon. Frame: Professional Frame repair by Frame restoration shop in Doylestown, PA in January, 2010. Work was done to repair rust related crack on rear driver's side behind wheel well. Also a small repairs were made on the passenger side rear section and rear frame cross member. New steel was bent, sleeved and seam welded in and covered with heavy silicon type sealant material which looks the same today as it did when work was done. Remainder of frame is solid and mostly coated with POR 15 rust converter to prevent rust corrosion. Interior: The interior is immaculate for a landcruiser this age. Crack free dash, no missing knobs or buttons, Newer Sony head unit/CD and rear speakers, well preserved carpet, excellent door panels (exception of passenger rear door panel has a burn patch on the vinyl only visible when door is open (see pic). SOR rear rubber cargo mat. Perfect headliner. The best feature of the interior is the recently recovered seats. Front and rear seats covered with SOR's Tuff Duck seat kit which is stain/water resistant and looks and feels great. Driver's seat also had new SOR bottom foam cushion fitted when the seats were covered. Needs: The front section of the exhaust will need to be replaced at some point soon. It currently does not leak but as noted,a bypass section was recently welded in place of the one catalytic converter which is also throwing a code light. Does not affect performance and the vehicle is emissions exempt where I live. If I were keeping, I planned to install headers and custom exhaust which reportedly offers a significant power bump from the torquey but slightly anemic 3FE motor. Overall, this is a highly presentable classic FJ62 in usable, collectible condition that is ready for enjoyment by its next owner. Gets compliments everywhere it goes. Being sold to the highest bidder. I have attempted to represent this vehicle as accurately as possible and offer full disclosure of any known flaws or concerns. There were a couple questions regarding the documentation. Included with the sale are over $7,000 in receipts from 2005 to present. There are no known mechanical issues. I would drive it to the west coast without hesitation.
