1957 Chevy Bel-air sport sedan in "RATROD" condition. Fairly solid body, solid frame, some amatuer patch work in floors and center of trunk. Doors all shut great with the drivers door having some rust on the underside. Some bondo in the front fenders, trunklid has rust on the top back underside. 1962 model 283 runs good , has new fuel pump, electronic HEI ignition, and chrome 1 wire alternator. Transmission is a manual 3 speed on column that shifts pretty decent. Car has new windshield, back glass is good, side glass is fogged around the edges and drivers side glass is cracked. Frames are pretty good with light pitting, can be polished out for driver quality. Most chrome work needs attention, stainless is all there, side trim is painted semi gloss white due to previous owner painting it orange. Same person painted the car with a roller and added sand texture to the top. Small dent in top, some in the drivers fender (light) and one in trunk lid. Interior is perfect for a ratrod, previous owner applied bath mats? over rear seat inserts, covered front seat with red vinyl, then a seat cover, white vinyl headliner with upholstery tacks, and some sort of commercial carpet with aluminum strips. All lights and signals work, horn wire grounded and disconnected. Wiper motor needs cleaned/rebuilt, moves but won't complete cycle. Wheels and hubcaps are from a 54 Chevy with recent 15/75/225 tires. Engine has spread bore intake with adapter and Rochester 4bbl 1958 283 carb, chrome valve covers,and air cleaner. Will include 62 model 2 bbl intake, carb, air cleaner, ditributor, valve covers, and generator with car. I love driving this car around, it's not as bad as I've made it sound for being 54 years old. I just wanted to be honest in the description. Perfect for ratrod shows, or fairly easy restoration of a running , drivable car. Car is for sale locally, I will end the auction if sold.
