Climate Controlled garage kept Classic sportscar. This vehicle runs really strong, drives and stops well. And is driven on nice days only.Comes with Owner's manual,booklets,and other documentation. BODY Details: The car was completely striped to the metal/paint removed. All glass, chrome, body side moldings, bumpers, lights, door handles, hood, doors, trunk, You Name It-It was removed. All body work needed performed properly. Then it was epoxy primed, guide coated, wetsanded, and Refinished with ICI Base Coat/Clear Coat, wetsanded and Buffed to a Deep Gloss Perfection.The Bumpers, body side moldings, door handles, headlight/taillight bezels-trim, trunk latch were then Re-Chromed and are Original. The outside mirror, antenna bezel and roof drip moldings were not replaced, as They were cosemetically functional at time of replacement. It should be noted however, the mirror now has a small ding in the chrome. Otherwise, all items appearing practically as new. The Original glass is in great condition with exception to a few very small minute/ micro scratches if someone wants to look hard enough-One still has to remember this baby is 44 yrs.old. All weather stripping has been replaced with VOLVO O.E.M. or N.O.S. materials, to name a few, all glass, door, trunk and hood seals. With exception to felt door opening moldings and gas cap seal. Gas cap seal will need replaced soon and door opening moldings are still pretty decent though. Grill is brand New N.O.S. Volvo. All emblems N.O.S. New. All lights are fully functional and near perfect conditon. Tires are brand new, wheels stripped and repainted, hub caps are original and in great shape, however some have a slight ding or 2. Doors, trunk, hood open/close exceptionally well, and are fitted properly. There are no chips or scratches, nor any road/tire chips at the bottom of the fenders or quarter panels. There is a very, very small ding in the top of trunk and on rt. rear qtr. panel, you have to look for them, and the paint is not chipped or broken as stated earlier. Undercarriage/Trunk:Solid Trunk and Floor, Cleaned and repainted, new KYB shocks, suspension repainted, brand new exhaust with dual chrome tips, new fuel line,original trunk mat-good shape,original spare wheel and Jack, tool kit, repainted as well. All in all, the underside looks good but is not a concour's or show car underneath, however it looks much better than most. Engine/Transmission: B-18 4cylinder w/ dual stromberg carbs, manual 4 spd. w/electric overdrive-works great.Prior owner worked for Volvo dealer had engine rebuilt prior to my ownership. Completely repainted, reconditioned engine compartment. All new hoses,belts,battery, battery cables, water and fuel pump, radiator rebuilt,thermostat,anti-freeze, clutch slave cylinder, newer brakes. New distributor cap,rotor,points,wires,plugs,air filters. The carbs were redone sometime ago by prior owner and are still functional, however sometimes need a little tweeking. Suspension is tight, stops good, engine runs strong. Interior: Black Interior w/bucket seats, fold down rear seat w/luggage straps. New carpeting. Headliner,door panels, rear panels original and in great condition with exception to a very small tear in rear panel, but nearly undetectable. All interior chrome is exceptionally good. Non-smoker, no pets. Seats sit well and comfortable. Seat belts like new.Windows open and close like new. Dash is original, with exception to upper dash pad it is in very good condition. Upper pad has some small cracks, it could be repaired, replaced or I have a upper dash pad overlay included in the auction. Gauges are cosemetically fine and functional, however water temp,oil temp work sometimes and are not to be relied upon. I installed a separate water temp. gauge. Original radio, heater,defroster work fine.New blower motor. Note: I also have many before and after photos, which will be provided to the successful buyer. Summary: This is a very nice solid and good looking P1800 that seems to alway's get compliments wherever it goes. The car runs strong and handles well. It is not a rust bucket with a fresh coat of paint. However it is an old car, and it may require some tinkering on occasion. Good thing is it has been maintained and it is easy to do so. I have described the car as best I can including any known imperfections. Title is being presented free and clear of any liens, encrumbraces. It is being sold AS IS with no warranties, written, expressed or otherwise. I suggest that bidders/buyers inspect vehicle if possible or arrange for a 3rd party inspection before auction ends. All fluids have been recently flushed and refilled to spec. Also pertaining to the dash pad overlay/cap. It includes both upper and lower parts, however only the upper portion may be needed at buyers descretion. I am also including any spare and/or extra parts pertaining to this vehicle. I also have had a few questions concerning the bottom of the doors, they are solid, in the pictures you can see the weep holes/drains, it is not rust, it is a tan colored self leveling rust inhibitor coating. A few have asked? What else would I do if you were to keep the car? I would install a pertronix or electronic ignition, no more points or condensor to deal with and more reliability to fire todays fuels, it can be purchased for about $100. Installed in 1-2hrs.Or have it installed? Not an issue, however it does help the performance. I just never got around to it as I didn't drive the car as much, as I would have liked to have. The hood supports are solid. The car was ran on Valvoline All-Climate motor oil.Wix or Fram filters. In-line fuel filters.Shifts smooth and reliably, Overdrive works fine, light indicator works too.
