Up for auction is a 2001 Audi A6 Avant (Wagon) Quattro with 108,XXX miles. This car is a "mechanic's special" only because the transmission went out just a few months ago. However, the engine and the body are in great condition! I've loved this car from the minute I bought it almost three years ago and I've consistently maintained it with changing it's oil every 3k miles and cleaning its interior and exterior regularly. I simply don't have the money for a mechanic to fix it or the knowledge to do it myself. It would be a fantastic buy for somebody with the know-how to repair it. There was a lot of love and work put into this vehicle. The custom interior consists of all headliner and pillars reupholstered, tinted windows, and all trim pieces painted. Also, a Pioneer in-dash GPS with blue-tooth, CD player, and direct IPod hookup. The IPod connector is located in the center armrest for convenience. Factory options include front and back leather, heated seats, and Audi's legendary Quattro all-wheel drive (perfect for driving through the winter snow). The Avant was lowered using Eibach lowering springs at around 90K miles to give it a sportier look and handling. (I have the original stereo and stock springs to go with the car if you want them.) This car was smoke-free its whole life.There are the usual small dings and scratches associated with a ten-year old car (as you can see in the photos). Despite the transmission issues, it still drives, but it will need to be towed from Carlisle, PA (at the buyers expense) since it's not inspected. This vehicle is being sold as is due to the transmission problems. For payment, a $500 deposit through PayPal is due within 24 hours upon winning the auction. One Day into the auction note: I was giving the car a final wash and realized how bad the tires are on the car. They would pretty much need replaced right away so I lowered the starting price from $2000 to $1800. I also have a set of 18" aftermarket rims with good tires on them that I would let go of for really cheap if the winner would be interested. They are a 3-piece look rim with black centers and a polished lip. They have a bit of curbage but still look good on the car. I'd let go of them for an extra $200 so it would definitely be cheaper than buying new tires for the stock wheels. Thanks for looking!
