This 1967 Corvette Convertible is a rare find. It was originally bought in 1967 and owned until 1974. The family we purchased it from owned this car since 1974 from his friend, so this car had two owners all of its life. The owner has passed on, so this car is now available for sale and looking for a new home. From what we have gathered, this car was restored in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In addition, we have done some work to the car also to make it a perfect driver. This great Corvette is in the original color combination of Elkhart Blue (980) with Teal Blue Vinyl (418) Interior. It has the original 327ci 300hp engine with the original 4 speed transmission. This is a complete and all numbers matching car. It is very difficult to find a Corvette like this one, with all numbers correct and matching. The numbers will be listed below. This Corvette runs and drives perfect. Some of the work we did to the car was brake work with front and rear calipers replaced and new brake shoes. The brake system was then flushed with new brake fluid and the front and rear brakes were bled. Also, the car received a tune up with new plugs, points, cap rotor and condenser. In addition, the carburetor was disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt. The underside of the car was completely detailed and cleaned from sitting. The rear bumpers have been re-chromed. Also the inside and outside of the wheels and tires were repainted. The compression test was done recently on the car and the compression was excellent. A compression test was done on the car and the results were as follows: Cylinder 1-225psi; 3-225psi; 5-230psi; 7-220psi; 2-225psi; 4-225psi; 6-235psi; 8-232psi. This is a complete matching numbers car. The paint has a few small scratches and imperfections, but overall is very nice. (I would be happy to send pictures to serious parties of imperfections).The body is straight as it can be. Chrome: The chrome looks very nice on the car. The front bumpers look like they have been re-chromed and the rear bumpers we just had re-chromed. The balance of the chrome looks very good as most looks to be re-chromed or in excellent original condition. Interior/Top: The interior is gorgeous on this car. It looks like the seats have been recovered and does show minimal wear. Also, the carpeting does look newer. The vinyl top is in great condition as well. All gauges work as they should. The clock works and the radio work as well. Wheels/Tires: The tires look newer. The wheels look new as we restored them. We had the wheels stripped and painted on both in the inside and outside of the wheel. Underside/floors: The frame on the car is in excellent condition. It is all restored underneath and very clean as can be seen in the pictures. Engine Compartment: The engine compartment is very clean and all detailed. I do have the original Valve Covers that came with the car and they pictured as well. Overall: This is a higher end driver for someone to enjoy. It is probably not a trailer queen that has never been driven and not priced that way either, but everything is matching, correct and original on the car, so it is truly a rare find. It is finished in one of the more attractive and original color combinations. Furthermore, this car runs and drives perfect. The tranny shifts effortlessly and the clutch feels great. This great Corvette can be driven anywhere with a very strong engine. Several cars are listed as “matching numbers”, but this car is the real deal with complete matching numbers.
