Vehicle Detail

I am the Court appointed liquidation agent for a Trustee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. This vehicle was surrendered in an individual Chapter 7 Bankruptcy case for liquidation by the Trustee. The Trustee's job is to sell it and distribute proceeds to unsecured creditors. Now that we have that out of the way, let me tell you what I know about it. Once I got it back to my location I looked it over pretty good and made the following observations: The vehicle is a 1985 Chevy Suburban Silverado 1/2 ton 4x4 with a tow package. 5.7L V-8 Gas. I personally drove the vehicle about 8 miles to it's current location when we recovered it from the debtor. Motor ran fine with no problems. Probably could use a tune up. Good brakes. Auto transmission shifted fine and seemed smooth enough to me. Seems to shift in to 4x4 ok when you want it to but I'm not an expert there. The speedometer does not work nor does the A/C. Has rear air as well. Lights and radio OK. Power windows and locks seem to work ok. Due to speedometer not working, actual odometer mileage is unknown. Currently reads 02494.3 No obvious leaks, fluids etc. under vehicle. As you can see from the photos there is some body damage on the right side and rear of the vehicle. Mainly on right rear passagener door and trim on right front passenger door. The tail gate and rear bumber also has some damage as you can see in photos. Hood and cab top have some small hail dings. The drivers side small wing window is broken out and taped over and needs replaced. The remainder of the body looks pretty good to me for the age of the vehicle. There are a few small rust spots. Paint/finish appears somewhat faded and could use a wax job. Tires and wheels are actually in very good to excellent condition. Matching Dayton Timberline tires look almost new with deep tread depth and very little wear. Tires and wheels alone are probably worth the starting price of the vehicle. This is an extremely low starting price for a functional 4x4 Suburban you can actually drive away after purchase! Would make a great hunting, work or lake vehicle. We are selling the Suburban "as-is" to the highest bidder with no reserve. Buyer will receive all documents necessary from the Trustee to register the vehicle in their name. Buyer is responsible for any registration fees, taxes etc. necessary to register vehicle in their locality. Local pick-up only. Buyer is responsible for paying for and arranging 3rd party shipping if so desired. $500 non-refundable deposit via Pay Pal required with 48 hrs. of auction end. Balance due in cash or certified funds when vehicle is picked up with-in 7 days of auction end. Non-paying bidder notice will be filed and item re-listed if Buyer fails to meet payment terms. I try to be very thorough with my descriptions and do the best I can to answer any questions you might have. So feel free to ask. Please check out my feedback rating and bid in confidence. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! On Oct-22-11 at 11:19:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I am the Court appointed liquidation agent for a Trustee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. Has rear air as well. Tested the A/C compressor by jumping it and it came on and ran smoothly. Air not cool so may just need freon but not sure. Exterior Lights and radio OK. Interior lights such as dome, dash and gauge lights don't come on and horn doesn't work. Probably just a fuse or bulb issue. Engine gauges appear to work. Power windows and locks seem to work ok.
