I have owned this vehicle since 1996. I am the second owner. The car has never been in an accident and has only ever had two dings removed. About a year after purchase I began on the modification path and over the next few years added just about every desirable extra possible. Looking at my invoices, these upgrades amounted to about $35,000.00 The odometer shows 78,000 miles which was the reading when the 6 speed transmission was installed. Since that installation I have added maybe 15,000 miles to the vehicle. The new transmission does not interface with the odometer and the speedometer properly and so these two gauges do not work. I have been told that there is a fix for the issue but I have never pursued it. The 3 litre engine from a 968 had 55,000 miles on it when installed four years ago and since then I have added less than 5000 miles. I have deleted the rear wiper, the air conditioning and the heater. The sun roof mechanism is disconnected and it is in a permanently closed condition. I have the original steering wheel, the rear seat and one set of brand new Pagid Orange pads for the front which are all included if the buyer wants them. One mechanic has done all the work on this vehicle from day 1 of my ownership and can answer any questions that I am not able to. I can also provide the buyer with my mechanic’s name and number which may be a useful resource for the future. The vehicle has only been driven on the street during the last three years and is running magnificently. The power, handling and braking are all sensational. It is so much faster than my E39 M5. I haven’t had the car on a dyno since the 3 litre engine was installed but best estimates are 410hp – 420hp to the wheels at 1.2 bar. Over the last couple of years my driving friends have moved on and I just don’t drive it anymore. My interest has moved elsewhere and it is time to part with what has been for many years the love of my life. The photos were taken Sept 2010. I will attempt to answer any and all questions.
