Super nice show quality 1979 Ford F-100 with the Explorer package. This is a Tucson Arizona truck bought new at Holmes Tutle Ford in Tucson, Arizona. NEVER been wrecked or had any body damage repair. Body is factory straight with NO RUST anywhere ever. I have all the history on this truck and have personal knowledge of it since new. The Air Conditioning blows ice cold and is factory. The only thing on the inside of the truck that isn't original is the CD player. On the outside, it was repainted a high end base/clear about ten years ago. At that time the original stripe kit was not replaced. However, I do have a original Ford Stripe kit in the box. When I painted this truck I had all the trim removed and replaced with NOS ( Ford only parts used ), the bed was also removed to paint behind the cab. It turned out awesome as you can see in the pics. Under the hood we have a wild 460. Prior to installation it was put on a dyno and with cast iron heads produced 504 horsepower with 531 pounds of torque. It produces this with only 9.5 to 1 compression. It is so nice to be able to use pump gas without additivies. Some skilled head work and a nice cam round out this power house. The transmission is a C-6 which has had considerable work to handle the horsepower. The end result is a real nice sleeper Ford that will leave your friends who drive the Hemi's looking at the license plate. And that I might add is with 3.0 gears. It is smooooth with no vibrations and runs cool at an idle even in our Arizona summer heat. Please ask any questions prior to bidding.
