Vehicle Detail
*RARE FIND* 1984 Buick Grand National With SUN ROOF Up for auction here is one of America's truly unique cars; the 1984 Buick Grand National. These cars are usually referred to as the last of the "muscle" cars manufactured entirely in the US. This particular car has barely been touched since it was purchased. It has a total of 51k miles on it and was mostly used to drive my grandmother from Parker, CO to Granby, CO. When my grandparents sold their ranch (around 89-91) the vehicle was just kept in a garage and only taken out for oil changes. The equipment is almost 100% OEM. The tires are aftermarket, fuel filter, oil filter, hoses and A/C compressor; we tried replacing the stereo with another one we pulled from anoher Buick GN and it didn't work either. So you may have to install your own sound system for this vehicle. We had the vehicle inspected prior to listing this auction; they replaced the fuel filter, the hoses, the A/C compressor, changed the oil and ran their own fuel injection cleaning system (which will take another full tank of gas to maximize its effect; this has been completed). It reads that it maxes out at 15 PSI, but I believe it probably goes up to more like 17-18 before the waste gate fully opens. The car does feature power windows (including a sun roof), power locks and power steering. The radio antenna works properly (when turned off the antenna will shrink back into the car) but the cassette player does not work. It's up to the buyer (if before its installed) whether they want the deck installed or to leave it on the side as an option (you can always install an aftermarket DIN stereo deck). There are some minor scratches from where it had to be driven on gravel roads near the base of the doors and wheel wells and some scratches on the passenger door from being opened against the side of another car. The car has approximately 200 HP @ 4400 RPM and 300 ft*lb of torque at 2400 RPM. You can read up more about their stock power at: http://americanclassicars.com/buick-grand-national/ ONLY 2000 OF THESE WERE MADE. I also wanted to add this tid bit into the auction: This car has a lot of potential for anyone looking to build up a domestic muscle car and would also compliment any persons domestic car collection. Remember, the GN's ARE capable of being the fastest sedan's ever made and made high displacement engines a joke. The interior is made of both cloth and leather; the seats where you actually sit are made of leather and there are cloth borders around them. You can see this in the pictures. It is possible to all install an intercooler on his vehicle and to purchase a computer chip that will increase performance from GM or other aftermarket supplies. This car has a lot of potential but its just eating up garage space at the moment (hence the low price). Good luck bidding! Don't hesitate to ask any questions. PS. If you need additional photos let me know; you may also visit the car in person if you live around Fort Collins. We really need to sell this; we hardly drive it and its just eating garage space!
