1978 Honda Gold Wing

catnhare@aol.com Store 1978 Honda Goldwing GL1000. I bought it about 2 years ago and rode it about 15 miles before putting a new battery, starter and solenoid on it. It was stored in a warm, dry garage and always covered. I had planned on doing the Timing belt and all services with plugs and installing new tires. It never came to pass and now bringing it back out one and a half years later, the carburetors have varnished. It won't idle and is "lumpy" at higher RPM's. I replaced all of the fuel lines and the filter, but don't have the time to accomplish what this nice bike needs and so I'm offering it up. The tires have cracked from sitting and of course the carbs need to be rebuilt (I recommend Randaak's kits). The bike really did perform nicely and seemed to brake fine, but I just didn't ride it enough to really get a feel if anything else needed attention. The paint is good and it has a Corbin seat that is extremely comfortable. You'll notice it has some nice accessories on it without it being a "Bagger". It looks good but could use a cleaning and polishing to make it stand out. I believe it is good condition overall, but you absolutely need to put tires on it to ride safely and of course, going thru those lovely carbs! I feel I have represented everything fairly and have not misled or over embellished. It will need some minor attention and I'm sure it will be on the road quickly.
