Vehicle Detail
1985 Honda Elite CH150 Scooter These bikes are becoming cult classics and harder to come by, especially in this shape! This was the “perfect” - type Honda scooter. Not to big, not to small. Will cruise 60mph no problem even with a passenger. This scooter has less than 6348 original miles and is in very good shape for its age. It runs like a champ and was check over two weeks ago. This model is specifically desirable because they did not make very many 150s. It comes as pictured with key, and clear title. The scooter has many years of enjoyment and many trouble free miles left in it. Although it is in great condition for its age please remember that it is 26 years old so there are some scratches and the front cover has been “repaired”, but could use additional bodywork. I am including a used part I ordered, but never got to the repair. (see pix). Do not have the manual, but do have some info I pulled off the internet. The scooter is sold as is, and where it is, with no guarantees or warranties made or implied other than as described here. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I require a $200 PayPal deposit within 24 hours of auction end and full payment before vehicle is released. I'm more than happy to try and answer any questions you may have, but please ask before auction end. Check out my feedback for peace of mind, but you're always welcomed to come and see the bike for yourself. Below is some information pertaining to this bike I found on the internet. Bike needs to be picked up / shipped within 10 days of end of auction. U.S.SHIPPING, PLEASE READ! The bike is located in Clarkston, Michigan, which is about 45 minutes north of Detroit. I cannot arrange shipping or contact a freight company. That option is left to the buyer. You can make your own arrangements and I will assist by holding the door open for whoever comes to get it. This bike can be loaded with ease on most types of carrier vehicles. (cargo van, pickup, trailer). THANKS FOR LOOKING! Below is an excerpt from a review I found online that defines these scooters: “Bottom line is these scooters are great! Easy maintenance, and very reliable. Sold from 1985 thru 1987. All Honda Elite 150's are 153cc four-stroke, liquid cooled motors with radiator and fan (yes it takes antifreeze like a car). The aftermarket is very scarce on the Hondas since they were near perfect from the factory. This scooter is as quick as, and faster than most of the other scooters in its class (up to 180cc!). This scooter will keep you happy for many, many years. Most scooters are beat on daily, and that kills them quickly, but the Honda can take it, which makes it ideal for the person or student who does NOT have the means to constantly adjust the carburetor, always replace brakes, mix oil and gas, rebuild top end every other summer, fix falling off pieces, rebuild the carb over and over, tighten frame bolts, kick starting, smoking engines, overheating. Buy this bike, keep it tuned up on decent tires, and you will realize the wise investment you made. It's not too flashy, so people wont want to steal it. It wont die, so be prepared to name it, and provide decent shelter for it. In return it will give you 75-100 mpg depending on how you ride. It will hit 65mph, and cruise all day at 55 with or without a passenger. This scooter is classed as a motorcycle in most states, so check around if that's a problem, but with it's stealthy looks, it can blend in with the 50cc scooter crowd, yet pull away with ease thanks to the larger displacement. Back when the speed limits were 55mph this was the perfect bike, but now with the raised speed limit, and aggressive drivers, I would stay off major highways. Occasionally hit the expressway and get off within 3 exits just to stretch it's legs. Parts are everywhere and readily available. There are no problem areas for this scooter, but areas that can be neglected are the carb/dirty fuel or rust in tank. Also brakes, tires, & drivebelt. Not much more. This is normal maintenance. These bikes are collector items, and low mileage mint condition examples can command good money come scooter season. This scooter is light enough, and agile enough to zip thru traffic, it will definitely save on gas, and commuting fees. You can teach your wife, child, loved one, anyone how to ride a motorcycle on this and take your motorcycle exam on it. Late for class? Not anymore. Should be a consumers report best buy.” Specifications: Engine: Water-cooled 4-stroke, OHC engine * Compression Ratio: 10.1:1 * Bore and Stroke: 2.283 x 2.275 in. * Cylinder Compression: 184 psi * Engine Weight: 58 lbs. * Overall Length: 75.8” * Overall Width: 25.79” * Overall Height: 45.79” * Wheel Base: 47.2” * Dry Weight: 236 lbs. * Fuel Tank: 2.1 gallon (8 liter) * Clutch Type: Automatic Centrifugal clutch, Dry Type * Primary Reduction: 2.2-0.9 * Final Reduction: 7.318 : 1 * Spark Plug: NGK DPR7EA-9 * Maximum Load: 338 lbs
