Up for auction is this 1979 BMW R65. This would make be a great restoration project this winter. Mechanically the bike is in great shape. Runs and drives nice. The guy I bought the bike from spent over 2700.00 on parts and labor (I have copies of the bill). The engine runs great. Trans shifts great. Clutch and brakes are good. Lights all work. Tires are good. It drives down the highway real nice. It really needs a cosmetic restoration. It has the original paint on the tank,fenders and frame. These will need to be repainted.
