YOU ARE LOOKING AT A ORIGINAL 1935 BUICK 4 DOOR. THIS IS A SERIES 40 WHICH WAS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE BUICK ($750) OFFERED AT THAT TIME. BUICK WAS A BARGIN, THEY HAD A GREAT REPUTAION AS A QUALITY BUILT CAR AND CONTAINED A POWERFUL AND RELIABLE "STRAIGHT 8" FIREBALL ENGINE. THIS BUICK IS IN GREAT MECHANICAL CONDITION. IT HAS BEEN ON MANY GLIDDEN TOURS AND VARIOUS LOCAL TOURS AND HAS NEVER FAILED. IT IS REGISTERD WITH THE AACA AS IN ORIGINAL CONDITION. (HPOF BADGE) SOME IMPROVEMENTS HAVE BE MADE DUE TO SAFTY CONSIDERATIONS. THESE INCLUED TURN SIGNALS, DRIVING LIGHTS (TRIPPE LIGHTS), TRUMPET HORNS, FENDER WELD MOLDING AND NEW ROOF. THE CAR STARTS EASILY AND RUNS WELL. IT HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND CONTINUES TO BE A VERY ATTRACTIVE AUTOMOBILE. NEW B.F. GOODYEAR TIRES HAVE JUST BEEN ADDED. THERE IS SOME WEAR TO THE UPHOSTERY AND THE WOODGRAINING ON THE FRONT WINDOW SILL. THE CAR SHOWS WELL AT CAR SHOWS AND CRUISE EVEN WITH THE 77 YEARS OF WEAR ON THE PAINT. IT IS STILL A BEAUIFUL CAR HAS A GREAT PERSAUNA. I INCOURAGE AN INSPECTION AND TEST DRIVE IF SERIOUSY INTERESTED ATTACHED IS SOME FAMILY HISTORY OF THIS CAR : Known history of this 1935 Buick, original 40 series 4 door sedan. My dad purchased it in the Spring of 1995 in Johnstown, Pa from a gentleman who had a collection of several cars. Dad and Mom first saw the car being displayed in the Richland Shopping Mall in Richland Township, Johnstown, Pa. There was a very small (3x5) card in the back right vent indicating that the car was for sale. The number was called, inspection made along with a wonderful drive on the hilly roads of Cambria country roads and the Buick had a new home. The reason it was for sale was due to the current owner having to many cars to drive and maintain. They joined the Flood City Antique Auto club and started on a new life style built around the “35” and a wonderful group of people who loved old cars and the places they traveled. It started it’s new life with them with only 30,025 miles registered on the odometer. That Spring, Dad when all over the car, washing and waxing, serving the motor and drive train and driving to local Friday and Saturday car shows and cruises. They joined the National AACA and soon were talking about taking it on the Glidden Tour. Two of our club members took their cars on trailers to Reading, Pa and Mom and Dad followed, driving the “35” on its first long trip. During the week in Reading we traveled daily about 75-100 to various towns and points of interest. Of course we started each morning with an early coffee and donut stop, a special stop for lunch with all of the Tour’s 350 participants, a special ICE CREAM stop on the way back to our starting motel. They did this for 5 wonderful days and Mom and Dad were in love with their Buick, the people they meant and the wonderful places they visited on the daily tours. By the time they drove back to Johnstown, Pa they had logged over 700 miles. The Buick never missed a beat. They were so happy with their Buick. As the years past, they continued to be active in the AACA local and national chapter. At the 1997 National AACA meet held in Johnstown they entered the “35” HPOF classification and was awarded a recognition plaque for being a Historical Presentation of Original Features. In 1998 Mom and Dad moved to Clemmons, NC just outside of Winston-Salem, NC. Prior to moving their household goods, they drove the “35’ to NC to store it until they completed their move. Dad drove the Buick and Mom followed in the family car before they return to Pa. After settling in NC they continued their love affair with the car and AACA. The following Spring they drove back to Somerset, Pa for a AACA tour of Southwestern Pa. It was very much like the Glidden Tour only smaller. We spent the week touring and again the Buick performed excellently. They continued to take part in Local (Old Salem Chapter) and National AACA activities. The next Glidden Tour took them to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. On this trip they transported the “35” by car trailer to NH. Again it performed flawlessly. The following year they drove to Staunton, VI to participate in another great Glidden Tour in the beautiful state of Virginia. Age was starting to take a toll on Mom and Dad and they decided to bring the Buick to Delray Beach, FL. They participated in a few shows and local tours to Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach and Miami. They decided to give the Buick to me and my family. I still runs very well, is well maintained and can be seen in local paraded and shows. Over the years of touring and attending car shows in has 36,050 miles The reason I am selling this great 1935 Buick is to help Mom and Dad purchase a larger Buick and participate together in the next Glidden Tour.
