p for sale is a 1987 Toyota Xtra Cab 4x4 with just under 150,000 on body. I purchased the vehicle last year after sitting in a barn for approximately 4-5 years. Upon bringing it home and getting it running, I discovered 3 rod spun rod bearings. At this time the entire engine was rebuilt, and the cylinders were bored .020 over factory specs. The fuel tank was also replaced with a very clean used unit. The engine has just under 3,000 miles on it. It is very tight and consumes no oil. It is a very responsive little truck that shifts and downshifts very well. The tires are nearly new Cooper Discoverer ATRs (225/75/R15) You will notice in the photos that the bed seems are beginning to rust, and I removed the side panels so there were no hidden surprises for the highest bidder, The side panels will be re-installed by auction closing. I believe this is due to the mice that were living between the panels and bed wall. The truck is very clean everywhere else. The frame is in excellent condition, this is why I felt so confident buying a truck that that I could not hear run. Everywhere else on the vehicles is remarkably clean. Very ameturish body work was done on the driver's side bed (see pics) and will need sanded down good before paint. The truck is still charged with R-12. The air will turn on (Compressor runs quietly) but never gets comfortably cool, my advice would be retrofitting. The four wheel drive engages very nicely, and the hubs turn very freely. The only other thing I have done mechanically to the truck is install brake pads up front. The truck also features a very nice kenwood cd player with remote, and kenwood speakers all the way around. Below I will list a few things that are wrong with the vehicle, please read and understand before placing bid. THE BAD:Windshield is crackedSeat is toreTruck occasionally starts hard when warm, cranks 2x longer than when cold, nothing spooky.Front end will need aligned, not noticeable in 2wd, but you can feel it in 4wd on dry pavement.Bed seem rust.Missing front pass. fenderwell plastic.Pass. window a little resistant rolling up and downIt's not parked in your driveway yet :) I have tried to be as honest as possible in my description, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, not a show truck, but a solid bodied, strong runner with LOTS of life left in it.
