Vehicle Detail

You are looking at an ORIGINAL 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This is a project car with rust that needs a total restoration, but is a SUPER LOADED car in an awesome color combination that I feel makes this car a worthy candidate for a full blown restoration. 1969 Mach 1's with the type of equipment list that this one has do not come along very often and when you do find one all of the neat optional equiment has typically already been robbed off of it. Not so with this car and that is what makes it such a RARE find today! This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is an ORIGINAL Candyapple Red on Red M-code 351W-4V car with a factory rating of 290hp; which incidentally is the same factory rating as the Boss 302 Mustang had this year. This car was also originally equipped with an FMX Automatic Transmission and connected to a bullet proof 9 inch rear end. This car is LOADED with options and documented as such per the Marti Report with a couple of unique nuances. This 1969 Mach 1 was ordered in the New Orleans, LA District (DSO 64) and was a Gulf Coast car all of it's life until I found it earlier this year and brought it to Atlanta. It was a retail customer order that was sold NEW at Treadwell Ford in Mobile, AL with the following drivetrain equipment: M-code 351W-4V engine, X-code FMX Automatic Transmission, and a 9-code 3.25 open rear end. This RARE Mach 1 was further equipped with such creature comforts as these other factory optional/featured items to include: Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Air Conditioning, Tinted Glass, Chrome Styled Steel Wheels with E70x14 WSW Tires, Tilt Swing Away Steering Column with Rim Blow Deluxe Mach 1 Steering Wheel, AM-FM Stereo Radio, Deluxe Seat Belts with Warning Light, Deluxe Woodgrain Instruments with Tachometer and Speedometer with Trip Odometer, Sports Ralley Clock with Deluxe Maplight and a Sport Deck (Fold Down) Rear Seat. All of this is listed on the Marti Report as original equipment with the exception of the Sport Deck Rear Seat. It is not on the Marti Sheet, but looks to have been in the car forever & has a factory appearing installation as it is complete with all of it's original pieces and mounting hardware. The door tag info is as follows and as listed on the Deluxe Marti Report BODY 63C = Mach 1 2 door Sportsroof Color T5 = Candyapple Red with Mach 1 Hood Black out treatment Trim 3D = Dark Red Clarion Knit Mach 1 Sports Interior Date 09K = October 9, 1968 Scheduled Build Date DSO 64 = New Orleans, LA ordering district Axle 9 = 3.25 Conventional Axle with 9 inch ring gear Trans X = FMX 3-speed Automatic transmission This Factory Candyapple Red on Red Mach 1 needs a total restoration and is not for an amatuer as it needs a good bit of metal work having been a gulf coast car all it's life. Or if you are so inclined an AWESOME PARTS CAR if you have a stripped out solid shell or NEW Dynacorn body this Mach 1 would provide all of the 'trick stuff' that you would want on your restored Mach 1. I have been at this a long time and I can tell you that when you add up what it would cost you to purchase all of the rare parts this car has to offer; it ends up being an absolute gold mine as a parts car! This car is rough and has rust in the cowl, door post and windshield area as well as in the floors and outer sheetmetal to include hood, deck, left rocker & quarter and right door. It is not for the faint of heart! The frame rails (Front and Rear) and trunk floors are actually quite good on this car!! The driver's door is decent and the passenger 1/4 panel is a very decent (see pics) piece as well. The car was missing it's original engine and transmission when I got it. It is also missing the AM-FM Radio. The rest of the option list is intact with all of the under dash AC components, Power Disc Brakes, Tilt Kick-Away Steering Column with Rim Blow Wheel, Center Console, Fold Down Rear Seat, Tach Dash & Wiring, Tinted Glass, Chrome Mach 1 Styled Steel Wheels, Complete Fold Down seat with uncut panels and all trunk access pieces, Deluxe Belt Light in Dash, Deluxe Map Light on the Deluxe Clock panel, Mach 1 Deluxe Door panels, and 9 inch rear end. I do have an FMX or a Small Block C6 Transmission I am willing to include with this car as well to the winning bidder. I have access to a 1969 351W engine also if the winning bidder is interested in it at extra cost. I am hoping somebody out there is willing to undertake the somewhat ambitious restoration of this RARE and LOADED RED/RED 1969 M-code Mustang Mach 1. It would be an absolutely gorgeous car when finished with a very impressive equipment list. I have too many projects and this is just one of them that is taking up space that I won't get to anytime soon. It really needs to be in the hands of someone who can get to work on it and give it the restoration it deserves. I will be auctioning other Mach 1's and and a 1969 Mustang GT (see pic) soon so please watch my for my other auctions!! I do have this 1969 Mach 1 project listed elsewhere and as such reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions BEFORE you bid!! I want you to be sure of what you are bidding on and for us both to be satisfied with the Mach 1's described condition and its sale. I expect a $1,000.00 deposit within 24 hours of auctions end and the balance of payment within 7 days of auctions end. This 1969 Mustang Mach 1 is a 40+ year old project car and as such is being auctioned 'as-is, where-is' and 'as-described' with no warranties either expressed or implied. I have described this 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 project car accurately so please read the auction text and look at the pictures carefully and make sure this is what you want before bidding. If you are not sure please do not bid. I take my auctions seriously and so should you. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!! More than just a pretty picture. Try Vendio Image Hosting.
