NO Reserve, so don't miss out on this opportunity. Today I am selling a 1955 modified MG roadster. Based on visuals and the title, this started life as a 1955 TF Midget model, possibly a 1500. About 20 years ago a gentleman started to restore it. He took the 1955 body and frame and merged them with a later 1950's MGA drivetrain and suspension. The idea was probably to improve the driving while keeping the 1955 looks. Unfortunately he passed away before completing. His wife sold it to another older gentleman who assembled most of it and had the body painted before he left us also. It sat in the second man's garage for 11 years untouched when his grandson needed the garage space and at that point I took it off of his hands. I have had the car about 6 months and have not done anything to the vehicle. I need the garage space myself, so therefore must sell it. I have a clear title, but it shows a VIN # that I think is really the original engine #. I cannot find a VIN # on the frame or body, but I could be overlooking it. I understand that it was common to make this type of VIN # mistake on titles in the 1950's. I don't know what the actual mileage is on any of the parts. My title shows 157372/Not Actual. If you or your representative would like to examine the vehicle, I will be happy to show it at my location. Body Information: The tub looks very good and even still has the original wood behind the seats. The dash, running boards, and doors are all here. The body parts look and feel very solid to me. The fenders, hood, fuel tank and windshield are missing. We think the seats are original, but are not positive. The grandson and I searched everywhere we could think of but could not come up with the missing body parts or any loose body VIN tags. Drivetrain Information: The drivetrain appears to be from a later 1950's MGA. Engine, transmission and rear end are all installed. I am assuming that they are good since they were re-installed in the car, but have not tried any of them and make absolutely NO guarantees or promises about them. Suspension Information: Again, from a later 1950's MGA, and looks to be in good condition. I think the wire wheels are TF, but I am not positive. There is a fifth tire and wire wheel for the spare. Other Parts: There are several boxes of parts, some original and some new. There are also quite a few trim pieces plus a new wiring harness ready for installation. If it isn't in one of the pictures, it probably isn't here. Look over the pictures and if you have any questions feel free to ask. I have three other projects waiting in the wings, so selling is a necessity. Buyer & Seller Information: Buyer is 100% responsible for picking up the vehicle.
