Vehicle Detail
This 1957 Chevy was purchased by my father back in the early 1970s and has been stored indoors for most of the last thirty years. I hope that the pictures will be self explanatory. I do know that the drivers side floorboard has been patched at some point in the past. The rest of the car seems fairly solid. If you have any questions I can definitely find out answers and get back to you.On Sep-22-11 at 16:51:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to make a few updates to the listing based on some of the questions that I have been asked. I have been asked if it runs. I think it was about ten years ago my Dad replaced the plugs and wires and had it running. We even drove it around town a little. It has not been started since then and I am sure would need a little bit of maintenance to get it running now. I have taken some more pictures of the wheel joints and undercarriage (these aren't the best) and of the floorboards and trunk. I am unable to put any more pictures on the listing, so if you would like to see them please send me a message and your email address and I will send them to you. The rust seems worse on the drivers side floor board than the passenger side. You can see in the picture that sheet metal has been placed on the driver's side. The rubber flooring is also dry rotted. There are pictures of the trunk also. There is rust in the trunk but it still seems pretty solid. Keep in mind though that I am no expert when it comes to rust. It also appears that the back spring on the driver's side may be broken because it is sitting real low. As more questions come I will continue to give updates. Thanks for all of the interest. On Sep-25-11 at 18:35:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello. I have checked the frame and it seems very solid with just a little surface rust. I have taken pictures and will send them to anyone that is interested. Also, I have decided that their will be two requirements for the new owner. The first requirement will be that the new owner restore the car the way that it deserves to be. The second requiremnt will be that the new owner send pictures of the restoration process and especially the finished project. My dad was always too busy to restore this like he wanted and his health has been declining in recent years. I know that he would want to see his car restored to its orignal beauty. Thanks again.
