I am offering for sale a 1997 Ford Explorer 5.0 AWD, 170,000+ miles on it. I run this truck daily and it is strong. I need to pay for my new truck so bid or buy it now and get yourself a deal! NO RESERVE!! Selling with no warranty and "AS IS", CLEAN CT TITLE ON THIS CAR IS IN HAND! Power everything, stereo with cassette and cd, plus multi cd changer, moon/sunroof. This SUV is the best thing I have ever driven in the bad weather, it holds the road even on ice like it is a tank on tracks instead of a wheeled vehicle, it is very balanced and handles really nice. It has the 5.0 motor, automatic transmission, and it is the XLT package. It is in nice condition, it has a small dent in the drivers side front fender (pictured), a broken turn signal lens, and some rust on the back bumper but all in all it looks great and has a newer alternator, front driver side hub and rotor, new rear shackles, 4 decent tires, and new idler pully. ** I am trying to be honest about this vehicle, but understand I am not a mechanic or expert SO, there may be things I just don't know enough to notice about. This is what I know it will need: the bank one, position one O2 Sensor, which is 43 bucks, a a egr control selenoid which is 32.00, needs these two parts in order to get it through emissions, a front drive shaft, I have it, you can put it in, it will come with the vehicle, ball joints in front drivers side, 45 dollars and it will need brake pads before winter. The power seat doesn't work on the drivers seat but it is back far enough for someone with long legs and since I have short legs I drive with a pillow behind my back. It runs excellent, motor and tranny strong and the leather interior is in nice shape no rips or holes anywhere, although it could stand a good cleaning. Body has no rust. Doesn't use oil. **BID NO RESERVE!!!! This is a real deal for someone, please no low ball offers. Kelly Blue Book on this truck is way more and the report score on it is high. It is red with all the fancy extras that come with the xlt package and it still looks nice. Clean CT Title in Hand!! Buyer responsible for pick-up and getting vehicle home. ***REGARDING THE DRIVESHAFT, THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT GOT LOUD, WE TOOK IT OUT AND TOOK IT TO A DRIVESHAFT REPAIR PLACE TO HAVE IT EVALUATED AND IT WAS SHOT SO WE GOT A USED ONE AND JUST HAVEN'T INSTALLED IT YET. IT WILL COME WITH THIS EXPLORER, I ALSO FOUND A NAPA BAG WITH A GAS FILTER AND ANOTHER PART WHICH ALSO WILL COME WITH IT, I AM NOT SURE WHAT IT IS THOUGH, WE GOT IT WHEN WE DID A TUNE UP ON IT AND NEVER INSTALLED IT.
