Vehicle Detail

One of 712 Sportroofs with 351-4V Engine and Four-Speed Close Ratio Manual Transmission. Drivetrain is good. Body is in good shape and the car has only minimal rust under the battery and even less (much less) in the trunk area. The front passenger side floor pan is rusted out, but I understand this is pretty normal because of drainage from the heater core? I took this car on trade and really don't know much about it other than what other Mustang buffs and restorers have told me. Anyone interested in this car probably knows much more about it than I could ever tell you, so I'll forego the sales pitch, include the Marti, and tell you that you are welcome to call me anytime to pick my brain. All I really know is that this car is smoking fast (that might be a bad choice of words since the car doesn't actually smoke at all) and I wish I had the room to keep it and fix-up myself. All the good stuff is in the Marti, so you can read that yourself. The other (bad?) stuff I can tell you is as follows: The car runs great, but I have to prime the carb to get it to start after it has sat for a while. The car used to be customized and raced occasionally by a guy in Ft. Smith, whose contact information I can provide you. The Cleveland in the car now is not the original one, but he still has the original and might be interested in selling it if you want to match the numbers. (Something's cracked on it.) I think he was the second owner of the car. He sold it to an accountant, who traded it to the guy I got it from for a Camero. The guy I got it from didn't do any of us any favors by "losing" the nickel and dime stuff like mirrors and some trim pieces, and by putting a"$500" paint job on the car. I had a guy that does high-end frame-up restorations come look at the car to give me his opinion, and I think he'd be happy to share his thoughts with anyone interested. Call me an I'll give you his contact information privately. I don't have any other pictures right now, but if you are serious about buying the car, I could obviously take some more, and maybe even provide video of the car running if someone will help me figure out how to do that. The picture with the car partially sanded is one taken when the guy before me had it, and the picture of the good looking green mustang is just a pic I found online to show the car's original color. I don't know if you can read the Marti report I've included, but I'll be happy to email it to anyone interested. Use the "Ask the Seller" link to send me your email address for the Marti Report or to request my phone number. The car may be seen and driven locally, but I wouldn't want to take off in it cross country because the rear shocks are missing and I can't get one of the rear brake lines bled, so bring a trailer if you want to take it home. Thanks for your time. Feel free to call me if you have any advice or information you'd like to share.
