1979 GMC Sierra Classic 3500 Crew Cab, Dually w/tool boxes. Automatic transmission 454 engine Hideaway 5th wheel hitch in bed electric brake modual for towing I purchased this truck for the sole purpose of using it to haul lumber and such to build my cabin up north. I am in no longer need of it. I hate to get rid of it because it has been very handy for me and it runs great! I have too many toys and something has to go. I have driven this truck back and forth to my property. 100 miles each way and never had a problem. The interior seats are in excellent shape. When I bought the truck it had seat covers over it to protect them. The seats look brand new. The paint is very nice too. It has been repainted at one time I can see. It used to be brown. The previous owner used it as a volunteer fire department truck and was garage kept most of the time. I'm assuming they painted it the color it is for that reason. I'm thinking it was originally designed to have a truck camper on the bed. There are shocks in the bed and hold downs on the side of the bed to support a camper from the factory The wheel covers are also factory.( Have them on for selling purposes, looks better without them) There was no tailgate when I bought it so I put one on. Thats why it does not match the truck. there is a small dent in passengers side lower front door(see picture 16) The 454 cubic inch engine runs excellent and starts every time. The tires are fair. Air conditioning does not work and the speedometer cable will eventually need to be replaced. it makes a little noise and is 5 mph off. It also has a new fuel pump, alternator and a couple of other minor thing in the engine. The exhaust is dual and has cherry bombs for mufflers. It is not obnoxious sounding but sounds tuff.
