Up for auction is a very clean BMW R80 RT. The bike is in excellent condition and runs and shifts great. R90 S quarter fairing with new Gustafson windscreen. Bike has many upgrades including new K&N airpods, cafe bars, progressive suspension front springs, "Works" rear air shock, custom seat and taillight, bar-end mirrors, new motobatt AGM battery, new charging brushes, new front brakes, new real axle seal, rebuilt and synchro'd carbs, and new tires. This BMW runs all synthetic fluids and has just had a valve adjustment less than 50 miles ago. It has a 5 speed with factory alloy wheels and rear mono shock swing arm. The bike currently has no gauges but was using an electronic tach with GPS unit (not included). Mileage before gauges removed was just at 22k (less than a year ago) This is a go anywhere bike and is a awesome ride. No smoke, no knocks, no leaks. Always well maintained and stored in heated garage. I have way too many bikes and this one needs a new owner who will ride her more than I have time for. This is a NO RESERVE auction so bid to win. On Sep-19-11 at 17:53:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I,ve had several calls about the paint finish and realized I didn't mention that in the discription. The paint in very good as the photos show. The top of the tank is slightly faded from the sides but still very nice. The frame is excellent as well as the wheels. There is a very slight ding in the tank on the left side but it does not show up in the photos. On another note: When I listed this bike I had a perfect 100% rating which I have had for years (read my reviews). A couple of days ago I received a neg from a person who bought a vintage Triumph from me weeks ago. He knew nothing about Triumphs, didn't even know how to start a kick start bike and would not test drive it when he picked it up. Two months later I get this neg stating that it was not as described. No calls, no comments, just a neg. I personally rode this bike daily without issue. Needless to say you cannot please everyone. I still don't know what his issue was but am now stuck with a less than perfect rating from a unreasonabl buyer. So if you have questions, please ask.
