PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING THIS VEHICLE. Up for "NO RESERVE" auction: 1978 Porsche 928. This is a rare 5 Speed manual transmission sunroof delete 928 with BBS wheels. This is the first year for the 928 and in 1978 it won the car of the year award. This exact car was photographed in two magazines, and I have them both that go along with the car. It even comes with the blue California plate that was on the car in the magazine photos. This car runs, drives and looks great. It is not perfect, but you can get in it and drive now. First and second gear syncro's are a little worn, and grind a little bit if you shift fast, but it still shifts O.K. The paint has some minor imperfections but overall very nice for a 1978. The interior is nice with no rips in the leather recarro seats. The car has a MOMO steering wheel and shift lever. The engine is very clean and has been detailed. The Tires are brand new and are on very well preserved BBS wheels (the wheels were $2680, have the reciept) . The car comes with a stack of receipts all the way back to the 80's. There has to be $20,000 in receipts over the years, the folder is almost an inch thick. The car had over $2K of work done to it over the past 2 years. I have the receipts for all the work performed. New tires, plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel accumulator, check valve, cold start valve, oil and filter change, tune up, Intake couplers, silicone vacuum hoses, hood and trunk shocks, timing belt, water pump, distributer cap, rotor, regulator air hose, porsche crest hood liner, fuel pressure regulator, air filter straps, air filter, intake tubes, control cam kit, intake air boot. The brake pads are like new. The brake pressure light is flashing but the brakes work fine. Also, the odometer recently stopped working.
