When I bought the car I had the transmission rebuilt and Energy Suspension bushing put in the rear control arms along with the lowering kit for the rear end. Shortly after that the corvette motor was pulled out and replaced with an aluminum headed 350 4 bolt main motor with roller cam. and a turbo charger. It has a large 4 core aluminum radiator, air/water intercooler (all under the hood), 4" downpipe that splits into 2 2.5" pipes back where it narrows to 2.25" exhaust. I changed or repaired everything I could find wrong mechanically from brake pads to wheel bearings and shocks (or even suspected may be in need of replacement!). The camshaft is mild for a car with 600 Horsepower, only 6-10* larger than what is considered an "RV" cam, it has that "sound" without being undriveable or inefficient, has the lope to make you take notice, but calm enough grandma could drive it!!! Coupled with the drivetrain it gets almost 19 MPG on the highway (although city driving is a lot lower). It retains the 700r4 transmission with a lockup converter and the factory gear ratio of 3.07 gears. It cruises around 2000 RPM at 70 MPH. Driving long distances is very easy for it unlike most fast cars which do not like long drives that is where this car really shines! Final weight is around 3000 lbs with a 150 pound driver and slightly over a 1/4 tank of fuel. The interior has new carpet, new racing/pro-touring seats, roll bar (not a full cage), Crow Racing Harness's, Shark custom white faced gauge cluster with programmable speedometer, oil, water, fuel, volts, boost gauge. The tach is an auto-meter but I also have the matching Shark tach if needed/desired. There is no A/C but the top comes off. The paint is not in the greatest condition, but looks good overall. And the windows need tinted (although I am trying to get that done this week). The performance of this corvette is amazing! While it get's good mileage and is extremely drivable on the highway it still clicks off times that border on 10 second quarter mile ET's with full exhaust and street tires. This car has only made 4 passes down the drag strip with a less than professional driver. I was told by several people that a set of racing tires would bring it down into the mid ten second quarter mile ET's. This is faster than most street bikes. Corvette's Performance 60 foot: 1.72 seconds 1/8 mile: 7.19 @ 99.5 mph 1/4 mile: 11.12 @ 123 mph est top speed: 180 MPH Cruises 2000 RPM @ 70 MPH Nearly 19 MPG Hwy Keep in mind this car runs on pump gasoline, no need for race gas, drive across the country or road trip and never worry about the fuel you run! 99.9% of the cars this fast require racing gas at $8 or more per gallon with very very limited places to buy it. And these times were with only 4 passes on street tires with full exhaust and mufflers. I have been told that with either some different exhaust or slicks this car will run tens in the quarter. It is very traction limited with these tires and a LOT of time is given up at the start line. Also keep in mind this car has more of a road race style suspension, it handles superb and stops on a dime with the 4 wheel disk brakes!This Corvette may quite possibly be the best deal on eBay If you have any question don't hesitate to ask!
