Up for "NO RESERVE" auction: 1947 Lincoln Continental Convertible, this car was owned by a well known Cleveland restauranteur for essentially it's whole life. We have receipts totaling over $25,000 in work completed over the past 6 months. The work was performed at Capaldi Enterprises, a very well respected restorer of this type of vintage automobile. The car has been gone over from stem to stern and really just needs paint and a new top to take this car to the next level or drive it as is and have fun.This is a true survivor, with good chrome and a great interior, this is a good candidate for a restoration. The V12 runs good, and is equipped with dual carbs which helps greatly with performance. There has been alot of mechanical work done internally on the engine. We can not verify that this is the original engine, but it is period correct. The engine starts right up and runs smooth. The transmission (3 on the tree) shifts great, and the clutch grabs strong. There are a few oil leaks, but nothing major. The tires are new, and the brakes are in good working condition. The front end feels tight, and the suspension appears to be in good shape. The convertible top works great, and the power (hydraulic) windows are in good working condition. The paint job is old and has some imperfections. The body appears to be very solid with no visable body filler or rust. The under carriage is very clean and the frame is very solid.
