Vehicle Detail

Hello Bidders, This Lincoln has been my hobby and joy. It is a super driving\running car. I had a remanufactured oem 400 engine installed locally almost two years ago. I also purchased a new flywheel and had the carburetor rebuilt along with a new choke. The exhaust was replaced with true duals from the engine back. I replaced the fuel pump, alternator, and electronic control module, and changed the transmission fluid. The battery was replaced with the best Auto Zone offered, all radiator hoses and belts were replaced. a new radio cd player was installed last winter and speakers were checked and rewired professionally. I still have the original radio. Again this car runs great and transmission shifts like silk. All lights work and signals. I drive this car daily and then other times it sits in the garage for a season. All glass is excellent, power windows work well and trunk is dry and never leaks. I bought this car from an ebayer who had bought it from an estate sale in New Jersey. It had been a one owner car with actual 72,000 miles on it when I bought it. However it did not run well when I bought it from sitting so much I suppose but regardless I decided I wanted to have a new engine and it was worth it. This is the true Collector's Series, AND A VERY RARE COLOR, but someone took the tool kit and umbrella before I bought it but the leather straps are still in trunk in place. I will be honest in all things as I expect this from others. The car needs front rotors, and a heater core which I by passed, no coolant damaed carpent at all!! No rust around top or taillights this is so rare in these years of lincolns!!!. It has some surface rust only at bottom of front fender due to paint thinning off there. This car is an unmolested survivor!!! This car is a survivor and is very solid mechanically I wanted to install chrome valve covers under the hood and detail but never did. The crate engine was installed using my old valve covers and oil pan. I HAVE ALL RECEPITS ON THIS!!! I will post underhood pictures if you request. However, I want all bidders to understand the engine compartment has not been painted or detailed. I assure you this is a remanufactured engine and I do have all paper work! This is not a "rebuilt" motor, it is an engine where everything inside has been replaced. This car runs super, if it does not sell I plan to donate it to charity because, again, I try as I might do not have time for this car/hobby. I want to use to proceeds from the sale to buy some things that will serve my son much better. The chrome is good and all moldings are there and good. Rear bumper has some rust in bumper ends but not bad. The previous owner placed chrome tape on these two areas and I left it alone as it is not an issue with me. The leather sets, headliner, carpet are nice, seats supple and no rips. The rotors cost $51.00 each and heater core is about $50.00. The brakes are very strong but due to rotor condition stop with vibration. I did not repair this stuff because I am overwhelmed with family, caring for my disabled son, property management, and my job. Add to this mix the fact that I hardly drive it. I want this car to pass on to an owner who appreciates it and knows the value of what I have already completed. Again, this car has been a joy but it mostly sits in my garage and does not receive the attention it should have. I am pricing this car to sell not to profit. Please understand that I respect all bidders but I will not deal with folks who buy the car and then want to show up and renegotiate the deal. You buy it you own it. I will answer any questions. Remember the car is older but it is exceptional in many ways and the mileage is true to my knowledge. Paper work on new engine will be presented on listing for your viewing. The alone was close to $3,000. On Aug-16-11 at 16:08:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Greetings Bidders! Thank you for all the interest! I have scanned in receipts from where had the new engine installed and all things that went along with that. I also scanned in the receipt from where I had the new exhaust system installed! Good luck bidding!!
