This is a rare opportunity for some lucky buyer to purchase a low mileage rust-free '57 Chryser Windsor. This Horizon Blue 1957 Chrysler Windsor is equipped with the 285 hp 354 cubic inch polyhead V8, pushbutton Torqueflite transmission, power steering, power brakes, push button radio with front and rear speakers, heater and rear window defroster. The Chrysler was purchased new in Yakima, Washington,(the dry part of the state) and apparently garaged all its life. The chrome, stainless and paint are all very nice and original. There is no sign of rust- very rare for a '57 Chrysler. The interior is very nice, but the padding under the vinyl on the dash pad is deteriorating so it is somewhat lumpy. The car runs and drives well, although it hasn't been driven much the last few years, so one front brake is a little sticky. The power steering pump leaks and will need repair, but does function. The engine and transmission seem to be very healthy. The automatic choke will need repair- currently a manual choke cable operates the choke. 1957 Chryslers featured the fabulous new finned styling of Virgil Exner and the great new Chrysler torsion bar suspension. These cars ride very well and have far superior handling to most contemporary cars. This is a great road car and a joy to drive.
