I am selling my 1990 BMW E34 525i race car. It is street drivable it has been completely gutted to save weight, the car now weighs in at 2749lbs witch is 635lbs less than it did when i bought it. I have replaced the steering box with a custom installed rack and pinion non power steering, i have the old steering box and everything else that i took out that i will include with the car. It has a 2.5L inline 6 m20 engine with a custom header back exhaust, also has a dinan ship installed. Sunroof has been removed. I also removed about 50lbs of unneeded wiring, relocated the battery to the passenger side under where the rear seat used to be, the battery is a brand new light weight AGM battery with more than enough power to start the car with every single load turned on like they arnt even on. The clutch has been just replaced with a 6puck sprung center performance clutch, and a rev shift poly driveshaft bushing installed it puts the power to the ground much more directly. All the lights on the car work, and the car has very little rust on it mainly on the bottoms of the doors and the clear coat on the hood is pealing and there is a large chip in the hood but there is no rust, structurally the car is extremely solid. I have also replaced all the front control arms. I installed Bilstein sport shock all around and H&R lowering spring even though they are lowering springs the car is at about normal ride height do to weighing so much less, the car handle very good and is not at all rough. I have installed 2 plastic summit racing seats in it with custom made seat mounts to get them as low as possible to lower the center of gravity. I also relocated the ecu, into the car underneath the dash cover. I know im forgetting things that ive done to it but thats all i can remember right know. I will also include Gtech pro rr to whom ever is interested. Overall the car runs good, it would be a good SCCA race car with some more work, or u could autocross it just the way it is and it could be driven at HPDE track days, the best thing is that it wont need to be trailered to the track. I am selling do the fact that it was a project car and i am now looking for my next project I would consider trades for just about anything but i am really interested in trades for a racing kart, motorcycle/dirt bike or atv. I have over 200hrs into this and i have come to the end of my fun with this car and i would like to sell/trade it to somebody that will appreciate it for what it is.
