You are bidding on a working 1966 Buick Riviera in need of full restoration. Car has some rust, as seen in the pictures. She was running fine but has sat covered for a time. The battery is depleted of charge, but she runs well. No known major engine problems, she has lots of muscle and lots of torque coming from what seems a 425 cubic inch V-8. I am not an engine expert, but it’s a big block V-8 engine Car may need brakes. You may need to tow, or piggy-back (recommended) this car home. I am the fourth owner of this car and she and I have history. I’ve owned her since 1993 and I hate to give her up. She had front suspension work completed three years back and she’s been on my driveway since. This classic Riviera is in need of a full restoration – assume all aspects of this car may need lovable work. I will try to start the engine and possibly do some minor adjustments to the carburetion but you should assume it might not start. I write this so there are no false expectations by the winner. This is a classic 1966 Buick Riviera with 80,161 miles showing on the odometer. A classic doesn't just happen, it is created, and the 1966 Buick Riviera was the well thought-out masterpiece of some of the best “Body by Fisher” designers and GMC engineers of its time. The Buick Riviera of the early 1960’s incorporated both a blend of masterful curves and razor-edge lines. This Riviera has an automatic transmission and is powered by an awesome 425-cu.in. Powerful, V8 engine. She is equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, AM/FM Radio (not working), and the original split passenger and driver’s seat. This vehicle has had three previous owners. I am the 4th. I also have in my possession the original owner’s guide. This Buick Riviera still has some of the original paint, but will need new paint and bodywork attention. Also, the rear windows do not operate (although they did when I first acquired her), but the passenger and driver’s power window may function. There is some minor rust on the body but that is to be expected since most of the paint has faded through the passage of 45 years since it first rolled out of the factory. Most of the original under-coat shows. The wipers, horn, air, and mechanized antenna do not operate. Overall, she will make a great restoration project.
