Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this 1984 Honda VF1000F interceptor, I purchased this bike on ebay a while back, fixed it all up and found my one bad knee cant take riding it. I purchased the bike on ebay for 900 dollars, i put brand new Pirelli Sport Demon tires on it. (less than 200miles on them, still has little tits of rubber sticking out). I replaced the fogged up windscreen and recovered the seat then bought a carb rebuild kit and installed it. As well as a K&N air filter. The bike starts and idles perfectly. This bike runs very strong with almost modern power. It has a nice intake roar and deep exhaust growl with that interesting V four exhaust note. The brakes haul the bike back down well. The gauges all work with 12,900 on the odometer. I took it out for the final shakedown to get a good idea of what to put in this listing. This bike plain hauls ass. A vrod harley tried to roost on me at a stop signal and the big Vf dispatched him easily. Later in the day i rode it up to an indicated 140mph solid and steady no drama with still some on top. this bike would be nice for a rider looking for a less frantic sport bike than modern ones. The paint on this bike is the only dissapointment dont get me wrong it is shiny and looks good. but it has some scratches and other orange peel ect. also right side inner fairing has crack. If this bike sat in my local shop it would have a $2500 price tag. My reserve is exactly the money i have in it, no labor. add it up and u can pretty much figure it out. I have tried to be as accurate as i can be please ask questions early, the bike can be seen locally. A $250 non refundable deposit is due 24hrs upon close of auction via paypal
