Vehicle Detail

This is a NO RESERVE auction for a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Y82 Special Edition, 4 speed, numbers matching, Hurst T-tops, 6.6L Firethorn interior. Pontiac Historical Society documented (see photos). One of 2699 4-speed special editions made in 1977. Restored value estimated between $40,000 and $60,000, Condition: Having spent its life in Georgia this Trans-Am is a very solid and straight car. There is some surface rust around the back glass as shown in the photos. There is no bondo in this car. What you see is what you get. The engine is currently out of the car and needs to be rebuilt. The block has never been bored. I am also including an extra pontiac 400 block. All factory options are listed in the photo of the window sticker. Good luck and happy bidding! On Sep-05-11 at 17:41:10 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a few questions... yes, the title is clear and yes this is a complete car. I do have the original 4 speed transmission. I am at my 24 photo limit and cannot remove existing photos because there are bids on the auction. It's hard to see in the engine photo, but it's lying in front of it. I will be glad to email any additional photos. Please feel free to ask any questions! As far as the history goes, I am also friends with the second owner who purchased this car in 1987 so I am very aware of this Trans Am's history. I truely do not want to sell this car, but it has been in my garage for 5 years along side a 69 hurst olds that I have been restoring for 10 years. Between my wife nagging me about not have a parking space in the garage, and the lack of funds to restore 2 cars I have come to the realization that I can't have it all and will concentrate the hurst olds restoration. On Sep-07-11 at 11:17:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: I do not have the original radio or carburetor. On Sep-07-11 at 19:12:02 PDT, seller added the following information: ***UPDATE*** Good news! More photos available at thebandit.shutterfly.com/pictures . I posted the VIN plate , Cowl Tag, Engine, Transmission and more.On Sep-08-11 at 19:34:31 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: More good news! I just found the original carburetor (# 17057266) along with the original spare tire, and a 160 mph speedometer/ cluster.
