1997 silver Ford Escort LX 4-dr, 2.0L I4 SPI, 139,378 miles. This is car runs and drives good, has automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, COLD air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, power locks, power mirror, AM/FM stereo. The body and interior are in good shape, with a few minor scratches and dings as shown in the pictures. The passenger side mirror is broken off the door, there is a lug nut missing from both of the rear tires, and there is some slight wear on the steering wheel. The ABS light stays on. The horn does not work on the steering wheel, but a push button has been installed on the dash near the power mirror control (is visible in the picture). There is a vibration of some sort in the front end at certain speeds but does not affect the overall driving of the vehicle. This vehicle was impounded by the Keene Police Department from a traffic stop in November 2010. The vehicle was being driven at the time of the traffic stop. The buyer will receive an "Auction Sales Receipt for an Abandoned Motor Vehicle Sold by a Law Enforcement Agency at Public Auction". There is no current inspection or registration on this vehicle. The vehicle will have to be towed or trailered from Keene PD - it can NOT be driven away unless a temporary tag is purchased or the buyer registers the vehicle. No delivery available. Buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle at the Keene Police Department. The battery is dead on this vehicle and it is unknown if it will retain a charge.
